Jailbreak? Been There, Done That

I have repent my ways... My first (and only? har har) 2011 resolution to upgrade Sugichan to iOS4 is finally done. No longer will I need to worry about my (tethered) jailbroken iPod Touch which needed to be jailbroken every single time the device dies. Frankly, it was a big hassle because obviously you'd want your iPod to always be switched on mah.

After months of failure, yesterday I decided to wipe my C: Drive and install a fresh copy of Windows because the viruses and malwares on it was why the device couldn't restore to its factory setting in the first place.

Whewwwwwwww~ What a relief. Now I can fully use it as a travel guide and I'll be able to bring it on board flights for our upcoming trips to Seoul and Bangkok. AND use it during the long journey.

p.s. I used to shut it off, which meant rendering it useless while traveling. Because you know what will happen if electronical devices are used in airplanes, right? KABOOM!!!

You... You... You IDIOT! I just bought your F1 book and I still owe my bestfriend money for your concert merchandise then now you decide to drop another bomb on me with your concert DVD? Dem yuu!!! 3 discs for Limited Edition version? Apa ko gile? Hah? Hah? Hah?

Don't you know I have enough debts keliling my pinggang? Seoul hotel, Bangkok flight tix and and and Yamapi concert tix... I'm like even persuading myself not to buy Luna Sea's Reboot to New Moon DVD LE lar wei. Cut me some slack, ok.

And then you and Tsuyo said that KinKi Kids will have a lot of surprises for us this year. Isn't that too much for me to handle?

Plus, my Astro bill just arrived today eventhough I felt like it was only yesterday when I last paid for it. Bills, bills, bills.

As you may very well know now (especially via Twitter) the 2PM-verse has taken over me. Shinhwa-verse is back with a vengeance, thanks to Dongwan and Eric's future activities. Luna Sea-verse is SERIOUSLY back with an even bigger vengeance. Aaaand KinKi is enjoying their happy marriage as if they've just got back from their 2nd (3rd? 4th?) honeymoon [read this for fun: 1st Jan Birthday concert report]

So in a bid (to attempt) to be mature, I will spend some time to start up resolutions for 2011 because honestly... Did I even have a list for 2010?? If I did then nothing came out from that. Hahahahahahaaaaiiih.

Save money - Refrain from splurging on meals. Less Zanmai, Tei and Ichiba.
Save money - Reduce caffeine intake. Less Starbucks. Huhuhu.
Save money - Stop shopping for unnecessary clothes.

Wonder Girls concert was fun!
The Luna Sea concert leg in Hong Kong that me and Karat had wanted to go to was the same day of WG's concert. :(
KinKi Kids 2010-2011 tour started a few days before the Wonder Girls concert. "Domoto Family" sounds very well produced with medleys of so many of all the old songs they seldom sing nowadays. It's almost like they shortened their MCs to make way for that. <3
Someone posted an old Johnny's Junior pic and that kid beside Yonehana looks like Takizawa. Is he? And the boy behind (scrunched up face) couldn't be Tsubasa right? Takkan Yara pulak?? xD

Ah goodness, I'm still dizzy from clicking on that Buy button for Luna Sea's Mafuyu & Manatsu DVD combo. Don't you just hate unplanned shopping? There goes the small hope I harbored for a Fossil wristwatch. *chucks dream out the window*

I do so really hope that my money's not going to fly out the door in November. Oh crap! Won't November be the time when Luna Sea concert goods are announced? Ngghh! *clutches keyboard and chews on it*

Well this might be a good start for a... hmm, a priority list to fit my budget? My head's a mess with the upcoming Wonder Girls concert, KinKi concert, Seoul trip, Dongwan's album plus God knows what else I have to pay for by February.

Furthermore, there is still no news from Public Bank on my card application. Was my letter lost somewhere? Guh. *spits out crushed numeric keys*

So registering for Sugizo's fanclub [Soul's Mate] is definitely out of the question. Eventhough it is only about RM200, it's kinda useless since I won't be able to enjoy the benefits other than getting access to his Fans-Only site. Sucky uptight rule of no shipping to non-JP addresses.

Sigh. My year is really going down the drain after the awesome weeks of August and September. The stress I'm going through with all the money problems and work. Honestly... How do people adapt to change so well? It's really impossible for me to accept this kind of pressure, of suddenly being thrust in front of the shooting squad.

I hate management. I hate being the Alpha. I'm an Omega and people like me can't make it and break it like some others do. But why am I still heeere? *kicks self outta orbit*

Thought my fever had gone away so yesterday morning I followed my mom, grandmom, adik, aunt and cousin to Sogo and Jalan TAR for a spot of retail therapy. Turns out I didn't have time to go look for new shoes -_- and bad BAD mistake drinking that root beer float. Furthermore, I went and sapu so much oily fingerfood. Dari tak batuk, dah start batuk. No ubat batuk pulak tu.

I want to go to 1U's Opera~ them pretty shoes have been on my mind since last month and I need to try them out. (Shopping tak hengat, Arfah? *smacks self*)

There are Luna Sea concert reminders everywhere now. Well, the tour does begin in another 3 months. After reading Sugizo's latest blog update, I'm sorta thankful I won't be going for the Hong Kong concert leg. T'would be quite dangerous, won't it?

During the ten (days) since I arrived in the U.S.,
I've been carefully watching the problems happening in Japan.
How come there are so many things that don't go well in this world?
We need insightful leaders to respond calmly
and peacefully to the issue between Japan and China regarding the Senkaku Islands.
After all, no one wants to situation to grow any more complicated.

I truly hope that LUNA SEA's scheduled December concert in China
takes place without a hitch.

Looking so delicious in black... My purse cannot tahan oredi. Paiseh. I knew there'd be something interesting from Koichi's BPM concert merchandise list because I have a fixation for an item that has a dangling KD symbol/insignia :)

The goods from previous concerts that I really really liked but didn't have the money for were: phone dangler, earphone dangler and wrist strap dangler. Like I said, I'm obsessed with dangly parts. (Sounds wrong...)

That t-shirt, at bottom left of picture, would look better if it has colours instead of being dull B&W. Plus, I am at war with this dominatrix outfit he wears for 'Bad Desire'. XP~~

My original plan was to buy that makeup pouch. However, it's supremely small if compared with the shop photos and huisinh jual mahal giler nak mampos. I don't need another penlight (yet) and the other merc boleh diabaikan.

Oooh! But but but look at this pill case. Isn't it adorable? Love the silver emboss and the inscription inside. But I don't take supplements and this would so be a waste. The prettiness is making my heart break. Unless I start eating vits from now on? Uh... semata-mata untuk ni. Takyah lah.

Initially, I thought this pass case is to place passports. Then I thought it was a ticket pouch where a person keeps concert tickets. It's actually for pasmo cards. And it's gorgeous! *wipes drool*

The dangling insignia (tiny one you see with the chain), blingness and functionality is the perfect combination for me. My Touch 'n Go card will have a new home soon :D

Summer Is (Almost) Over

Dramas are drawing to an end. Concerts have begun. Rock bands are touring.

It isn't like I followed a lot of summer dramas this year anyway. 'Tobo Bengoshi' worked fine for me to eclipse the disappointment of 'Tsuki no Koibito' and the frustration I underwent no thanks to Celcom Broadband not letting me download 'Unubore Deka'. I'm looking forward to next season's 'Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso' and maaaybe will try out 'Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo'.

Domoto Koichi's BPM concert tour will move to Hokkaido this weekend so I predict audio rips for Saturday and Sunday are going to be available on Monday. Workaholic Kochan has a really tight schedule this year with back-to-back stages: Shock > BPM > Kansai Super Show (Seven Samurai) > KinKi con > next year's Shock!

Eek! >_< Who designed Kochan's costume??

Besides KinKi-san, I'm also anticipating NEWS and T&T cons because they've been absent for too long :)

Chemical Pictures is at this very moment at their first one-man live (Congratulations!), NoGoD are moving about at an extremely crazy pace and D'espairsRay are having their US tour. MUCC, on the other hand, is gearing up for their new album release (6 October wheeee). Oh and we can also expect a new album by abingdon boys school if I understood Nishikawa's tweets correctly!

2010 had a slow start with a few hiccups here and there for me. But I like how it picked up rather momentously since August :D

And October onwards (especially November) is surely going to be even moar awesome. *winks*

Internetless in Johor made me rethink if I should get a data plan coughcough and a BlackBerry.

It's gotten tiresome to snap pics using my SE and having to wait til I arrive at home to transfer the photos. Which is why I didn't take any pictures of Raya this year. ^^;;

Well, either a BlackBerry with DiGi... or a laptop? *cringe* I still haven't saved enough money for a Canon S90 camera tho.

I've finally finally decided not to go for Luna Sea's end of year concert. I'm going to save up A LOT so I can splurge during their next concert (probably next year). Until then, I'll be concentrating on Mar 2011 Seoul trip and perhaps a Spring 2011 Japan trip :P

Oh and maaaybe I will buy something from Kochan's BPM Tour. I want to see photos of the make up pouch before anything :x

I'm absolutely loving the album [BPM] which I think is better overall in terms of musical growth (he wrote all the songs except Solitary) because he's experimenting more. Honestly, I didn't expect he could write happy songs! xD

By the way, last weekend's 2-day concert at Okinawa sounds awesomer than his 2009 tour. The fan recorded audio clips came out during the last few days when I was beraya-ing. Hence, yet another DVD to be expected around end of 2011, ne? Unfortunately, Yara's not in this tour again eventhough he should be free around this time right... T____T Is Tsubasa holding him hostage?

My Wish Came True

I was one of the 12,894 viewers who held our breaths over what happened in Hong Kong at 3pm today. *insert shit eating grin* lol. Isn't it absolutely fated that today just happens to be a holiday so I can watch the press conference at UStream?

It is SO good to see them sitting together. In fact, I was already squealing looking at the airport arrival photos with all five in one shot. Heheh. I can't wait to show you the PC pictures because omaigoodness... J was seriously handsome, he looks like a mix between So Jisub and Park Yong Ha.

Anyhow, for starters they're going on a World Tour! Another OMG details is that they will be singing new songs. Waaaaah~ NEW SONGS!

The concert tickets are open like end of this week!! So fast! Unfortunately, the air tickets are not exactly cheap TT____TT But by golly I've got to save up money for the flight ticket. By hook or by crook. Taiwan? Hong Kong? Anyone nak ikut?

Of course, now that they're back... HOW AM I GOING TO FUND MY LUNA SEA BINGES?! And I have other fandoms too boohoohoo.

Getting swamped with work and becoming lazier when at home leaves me less bloggish lately. So here's my past week in a nutshell:

Raya shopping all done last Saturday. Shopped til we dropped, didn't we? Thanks Farah and Nwar.
LUNA SEA announcement on 25st August 2010 regarding an urgent press conference to be held on 31st Aug. The very same night as I came home from work, I saw the most beautiful full moon swathed in clouds ♥
Compulsively joined and am following Luna Sea Malaysia Slaves group, their World Wide Team group and the World Wide Team twitter because I am dedicated in that way. Will finally meet up other M'sian fans! ABOUT TIME!!
KinKi Kids having their KKL moment on SDK means they still love each other. Coupled with the 24 Hour TV special clip of them both wearing Christmas theme tees? A great balance between KinKi and Luna Sea, I say.
Watched that hilarious CM for Koichi's BPM [ver 1] and super cool [ver 2]. Hahaha! Dorky Kochan ftw. The album comes out next week! :D
Dongwan finally noticing that he's Donnie Yen's long lost brother. Please compare their nekkid tops. Even their name is similar.
Having proven that Takumi still keeps in contact with Satsuki, aka Sacchan his darling bestfriend, and Mika AND shows up at their lives (from his latest post) has made me miss Rentrer again. But him talking a lot about regret lately is making me depressed. I know he's had drinks with Ryo and Ryo is now playing with Satsuki. Only person left is Shun. Where is he?

The trip was first revealed during a 2009 Shoujiki Shindoi episode with Nagase. At that time, neither Tsuyo nor Nagase mentioned about Kochan :D

It's like I have a switch deep inside that turns me into an emotional wreck whenever I dwell on the subject of their disbanding (aka 'hiatus' if you don't want to admit it) and their ~~getting back together~~ reunions. Oh yeah. I'm a total nutcase.

Because they are so awesome and diverse that it sucks not to like them. Nah, I'm just kidding. But seriously, whom ever who has listened to LUNA SEA and doesn't like their music is... is... is in need of help from me. MSN me or email me your preferences in music and I may be able to consult you with a dose of LS that you will be comfortable with.

Raya Shopping Mode Pt 1

[Assuming that I will go on a 2nd shopping trip, then yes the post title will stay]

This morning was our cinema tour trip at TGV Wangsa Walk and since I'm already in that part of KL, what the hey right? If not for the need to replace my sad case work shoes, I probably wouldn't have been so semangat and decide to jelajah Jalan TAR on a *****in' (note: No swearing during Ramadhan) Saturday. Hani was sporting enough to join me after the tour and we asked CVS to drop us off at Setiawangsa.

*stretches legs* This is why these trips are made only once a year - during Raya Sale. The massive amount of people. The staggering heat. The inability to bargain. The loss of money to God knows what I just bought from that stall behind there.

I also bought a replacement telekung coz mine has a big hole in its kain. -__- But urgh seriously, I'm no good at haggling. Always always bring along someone who knows value for money. Sigh.

A brief few stops for anak tudung and tudung lycra before we launched ourselves towards Sogo (although found ourselves lost twice ^^;;) where I grabbed whatever I wanted then cabut-ed as fast as we could. Voila, two new comfie Larrie shoes in my shopping bag.

Saw a lot of ready made baju kurung but meh. Cotton everywhere yet nothing that catches my fancy. And what the fffffish lah (note: I'm having too much fun censoring), where are all the Korean silk? No silk, no can do! I don't want to die of heatstroke in Johor >_<

Therefore~ Second contingency plan is to find time to travel by bus to Shah Alam and at least purchase a couple of cotton kurungs for work and sssssilk for the 1st day of Raya. Budget available: RM200. Eep! Wish me luck.

PS The Expendables is kinda entertaining for its kaboom and blood 'spatters'. Not memorable, but the no-reasons-needed butchery is definitely fun to watch. Hmm eventhough the head explosions are plenty, I wonder why I'm ok with this but hated the gore in Kick Ass.

DELUHI's newest single 'Departure' is all kinds of awesome that I can't find any words to explain it. So please go on and read Go's review because he sums it up pretty nicely. Some DELUHI fans may not like it because of its departure (yes, a pun) from their normal writing. Departure fits in real nice with me. *wink*

I hope it's not just a one-off trial and error to prove that they can shock people. I mean, c'mon... they've stayed safe for too long that I gave up on them last year. Maybe 2 or 3 more songs like this in future would be enough. So hey if they keep this up, I'd be even more impressed.

The hoohaa over Inception is rightly so. I knew after watching the teaser trailer about 10 months ago that this movie would be awesome. I mean c'mon, at the rate Christopher Nolan is now? That man won't let you down!

I'm really glad I came into the movie hall only knowing the basic guideline of the story. Because it blew me away so much I was halfway to the moon. A swell move, Arfah! *thumps own back*

The imaginary dreamscape really got to me. Having that kind of power is... it's overwhelming. And destructive.

However, a flaw I feel the movie didn't explain is whether the 'victims' ever remembered anything strongly after their sleep. Since people sometimes do have vivid memories of dream fragments. ~~Plus, from the intensity of what they went through shouldn't it have jarred them wide awake instead? Hmm.~~ Oh wait, yeaaah: the compound. But still, the effect of that?

Aw shucks, just go watch the movie! At least this has less loop holes than The Prestige -- which I love even more.

After you're done with that, you may want to read the graphic novel on The COBOL Job. :D

For me, I'm gonna go find the OST (because DUM! DUM! DUM! is really playing in my head now). Other than this, I might as well mentally prepare myself for Batman 3 and Superman. Woohoo!!

I was having a look-see through a shop fanpage and after a few clickety-clicks, I have just spent more money on clothes. Granted it was only RM26 in total and I did promise myself not to shop anymore this month. Then my Compulsive Shopper Self kicked in and I succumbed to the coolness of a certain Dumbledore-esque tshirt.

Haih. I still haven't paid Farah for KinKi and dagnammit I am saving up for a Canon Powershot S90!

So... with plans on not splurging on unimportant stuff, I have these to look forward to:

Brian's showcase was beyond wonderful. He's the most down-to-earth and hilarious gasoo to ever grace Malaysian soil. And such a great appearance of his comedic side during 8TV Nite Live.

Stupid KeyHoleTV won't let me watch Domoto Kyoudai. Bloody JDownloader won't let me download the fresh-out-of-the-oven Episode 8 of Trouble Man and the subbed YaraxTakki talk on Shounen Club Premium. In fact, Celcom's not allowing me to download anything these days.

Well, except for Smallville. THANK GOD FOR SEASON 9 TORRENT. Woohoo!

After hmm 3 years of not following the series, I'm back in the hood and loving the show even more now. Cough. Good riddance, Lana.

Because Clark and Lois finally realise that they're made for each other (Long live, Clois!). Because their plot bunnies did an great job this season. Because the unveiling of the Justice ~~Society~~ League of America finally making its way into the best comic-based TV show is sheer bliss for the fandom. Because Clark won't be able to delay donning that infamous costume anymore! <3

With the promise of an awesome comeback with Season 10 next September, which will be the finale, Smallville is the only purpose I can hold onto to keep me floating. Since there hasn't been official news from KinKi Kids and that fandom barely alive right now... sigh. I'm just tired of waiting.

I'll be de-stressing myself by watching rerun after rerun :P

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Tsurugidake got me started on my latest yaoi-OTP obsession: Matsuda Ryuhei x Tadanobu Asano. I am horribly late in realising that these two had acted in 46 Okunen no Koi (aka 'Big Bang Love, Juvenile A') which sparked my interest after ~~reading~~ coding Zee's interview back in 2007. Am I a sucker for pretty manly men, or what?

There's also 'Taboo' which is Ryuhei's samurai-esque debut film to fuel this new fantasy. Mwahaha.

After that, maybe I should look for the documentary film tribute about Ryuhei and Shota's dad. So I can justify why I prefer Ryuhei more than his younger brother. Adik tak dapat, target abang dia plak. Wakakaka.

How fast time goes by, yet still no KinKi related DVDs. Good morning, people. This isn't what I wanted to talk about today. Sorry about that.

I'm getting dragged to Lanchang (spelling?), Pahang this Sunday for a wedding. So I'd need to go shop for new shoes on Sat. And perhaps squeeze in movie watching in the agenda. A-Team's awesome! But I'd love to watch Prince of Persia. Anyone?

There might be reviews coming up soon once I get my hands on MUCC's Yakusoku maxi-single. For now look out for Sugizo's musical soundtrack (biased review), CPS's 'Tokarev', DELUHI's 'Frontier' and NoGod's 'Kakusei'. Still halfway to a complete wishlist.

Anyway, June is the time when big announcements should come out regarding Seoul, yes?

I just realised MUCC's Ameba blog (aka Ameblo) is constantly updated by Yukke, and sometimes the other three, with pictures and random posts. Together with their Tweets, I'm calculating they post at least around 30 times per day. What are they nuts? Correction, are Yukke and Tatsuro THAT free?

Hahah. I'm still a bit shocked over the extremely carefree information sharing they show on the Internet. Which is a good thing considering they aren't stuck up. And their frequent posts are about them in the studio preparing new stuff for us so yay!

Sugizo finally updated his blog. Yippee! Apparently the person who kidnapped him wasn't Yoshiki. Turns out to be... Gackt. He took on a big responsibility to compose the soundtrack to Gackt's "Nemuri Kyoshiro Burai-Hikae" musical. Like WOW for Sugizo-sama.

Well who would've thought? I swear I remember reading both of them had admitted how they hated each others' guts before beginning to work in the same band - S.K.I.N. Truth be told, Malice Mizer and Luna Sea weren't exactly on talking terms, yes?

Apparently they're showing F1 @ Milan because I can only see Matchy-san talking to someone... in Milan. Right.

Oh and speaking of tv shows, I had on Nihon TV earlier and Oshareism aired old episodes of the Shiseido uno FOG Bar boys (Oguri, Tsumabuki, Eita, Haruma) and Okada Junichi. However, KeyHole purposely lagged right when Okada was telling his story about KimuTaku. Grr. Unlike SDK, they didn't specify the airdate in those clips so I'll have to google for that episode. If I can remember.

Wonderful. My iPod chose to die after such a long and tiring day -- which triggered a chain of WTF-ness that started with such an 'eventful' ride home that had my mood going from tired to outspoken bitchy. If only Sugi-chan's battery hadn't been used up due to Pinball Ride Ultimate, I wouldn't have suffered through torture tonight.

Anyway as I was leaving the office, I knew that something weird was about to happen. That awful feeling down the pit of my stomach was actually a signal for my day to end badly. Adalah pulak sorang mamat ni dalam LRT, wanted to go all chatty with me out of the blue. I thought, "Oh great. Of all people, you decide to talk to me? Me! The one who doesn't even like to talk to strangers."

By right, normal friendly strangers won't even ask that lah~ hello! When I didn't want to divulge the info I consider personal (especially without reason), I told him that I had a busy day so I'm not open for a discussion but then he went and got all accusatory and said something along this line: "Everyone is super tired as well so you shouldn't make that an excuse. Talking is a way to loosen up. If I don't start becoming friendly to strangers I'm going to be one of those people who stand in a packed lift and pretend arrogance."

He couldn't accept the fact that not everyone wants to wind down from work with a 'light chat' with random people. Thus he went on and on about people like me who don't converse with random strangers in lifts and listening to iPods and etc.

I didn't bother to digest everything else he said because my mind had already switched to fight mode. And so my killing words were, "I understand and I agree I'm not the only person in this train who is tired. But it's been a very busy day for me. Plus, when I do find myself in a situation in a lift with others like me I will most definitely respect that person's wish not to talk. So thank YOU for respecting MY wishes."

Orang taknak cakap, sudah lah. Why be so persistent? What the fuck? Sorry for my rudeness. If everybody in this world is all happy and willing to be selfless, there wouldn't be corruption and World Wars. Welcome to my hell, stupid man. *snort*

Recently Takumi has been blogging frequently about Rentrer en Soi especially since last week's announcement on RES' revamped official website.

Today's post is confusing, no thanks to Google Translate, because he talks about "missing his smile when performing lives"... O_O Which I haven't the foggiest idea if he either meant his idol Hide's smile since he mentioned about Hide-sama's death-niversary in his previous post. Or he's missing his (former?) bestfriend Satsuki's smile. *cough*

Is it too much of me to silently wish that he (or him and the guys) are planning a reunion? After all, what use is it to maintain and renovate a website of a disbanded band other than to announce a: new CD / new DVD / comeback concert / anniversary? -- AND I GLADLY WOULD ACCEPT ALL IF THEY DO. So what else can I anticipate if not a project where Takumi will rejoin forces with Satsuki, Mika, Shun and Ryo?

CO had a gotong-royong session yesterday to install the new tables, chairs and cabinets. Marcel's in a graceful mood to revamp the look and feel of the office by standardising the furnitures so now we'll be in IKEA Land! lol.

It's been whaaaat.... a year since I last watched shoujo anime (as in giving my undivided attention to every episode) so I actually cringed when reminded how CHEERFUL and SQUEAKY seiyuu voices can be. x_x

My last series were mainly of the manly genre (Bleach, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Kyou Kara Maou) and had lacked the frilly pinkness of girlish themes. Oh wow. What a blast back to my fangirling over Sailormoon and other similar girl power era. *shudders*

Right now I'm watching Skip Beat and quite enjoying it :D

Altho I can't remember the manga much. Unfortunately I don't think I even finished reading it.

Mogami Kyoko is as cool as I expected her to be. And woooah Ren is devilishly handsome eventhough I felt he lost a bit of his wild streak here. But I'm only a quarter way through the series so let's hope for moar hotness!

A little off topic here: Bleach manga has finally revealed GinRan (that's Gin & Rangiku for the uninitiated) in the current arc! After a damn long year, the author is now only bringing them both to the main plotline thus I am ecstatic! Sheeeeesh but thanks.

Okay so I did pray quite hard that he wouldn't fly down to Malaysia for F1, but this is something entirely compulsory for him. Someone from LJ has bemoaned that she suffers from the same 'I Need DVD From KinKi Kids' sickness as I do. She even Music Video-ed the introductory music/track for Koichi's 2009 concert tour.

He seriously needs to at least mention about a DVD or something. It is now April and fast becoming summer, nearly 1 year after his tour, but there hasn't been a single news or JE web update about last year's Domoto Koichi Best Performance and Music Concert Tour. So kill me already, will ya!

If Kochan and the jimusho decides to DVD-ise this year's SHOCK then that one -- ohhh would most probably be released only end of 2010 or next year since the butai still has 1 month worth of shows in July.

And if he wants to get starting on the planned 2010 solo promotion, that'd presumably be done around August although this is basically just my assumption.

So... Yes, please to Johnny's Entertainment staff? Ample enough time to get your heads a-crackin' on marketing a BPM concert DVD, ne? Ne? NE?

Today's 1pm show of Endless SHOCK will mark their 700th performance. Congratulations to Shock Company for continuously making new miracles on stage! *standing applause*

Feeling stupid for not copying Buzzer Beat into my PC (^^ ;;) I decided to go ahead and work on those postponed reviews.

Notes on stuff I listened to but wont't work on:

Damijaw [Muryoku na Jibun ga Yurusenai] - Solo effort from Janne Da Arc's guitarist that I don't have the heart to write about.

DuelJewel [Will] - Officially not gonna bother about them anymore. Such a waste.

L'Arc~en~Ciel [Quadrinity ~Member's Best Selections~] - Not very motivated to talk about a 28 tracks album when all I liked about it is the inclusion of songs from "Heart" (1996), "ark" and "ray" (both 1998). Ken's Best is the better one because I loved most of his choices. Tracklist is here.


	Title: TATTOO Band: 12012 Verdict: 2 stars. Mmm, a failed throwback to their older image although the instrumental track sounds cooler. And what is with the half assed ballady coupling song? This song makes even 'MAR MAROON' appeal better to me. I... should really stop hoping, yes? Doesn't seem like they'll be getting back on their feet anytime in the next 5 years. Go for: 'TATTOO' if you're not a fan.

	Title: 風がめくる頁 (aka Kaze ga Mekuru Peji) *HOT* Band: D Verdict: 4 stars. I don't remember them being this good! D has completely overhauled themselves into this amazing band all of a sudden. From their latest PV "7th Rose", I can't wait for their new album out this 24th. Go for: 'Wagateki wa Ware ni Ari', 'Kaze ga Mekuru Peji'.

	Title: 春めく僕ら (aka Harumeku Bokura) Band: DaizyStripper Verdict: 3.5 stars. Wow. Slightly dorama ending-ish but yeah, wow. Sorta brings an image of soft rolling waves but I've yet to study the real meaning of this song. 'Kill the King' is... ok, I guess? Go for: 'Harumeku Bokura'.

	Title: World End Band: Frantic Emiry (aka DaizyStripper) Verdict: 3 stars. Right. I don't understand the concept of having an emo alter ego when they sound all too similar. Either that or they ain't heavy metal enough. 'World End' sounds good but not something I'd call ass kicking. But the other track is at least hitting the right spots. Go for: 'Senjou, Shoudou, Genocide'.

Title: WONDERFUL WONDERHOLIC
Band: LM.C
Verdict: 3.5 stars. Finally gave them a Full Album Trial. A few pretty strong standalone tracks that share the same 'joie de vivre' vibe. Overall, there were some hit and misses in this experiment. I dare say GHOST HEART rings truer to their 1st album and somehow... I prefer that side of LM.C.
Go for: 'GHOST HEART', 'It's a Wonderful Wonder World', 'PUNKY HEART', 'Boku no Mirai'.

Band: Satsuki
Verdict: 4.5 stars. (Please excuse caps in spazzy review) THANK YOU, SATSUKI. Thank you for releasing this brilliant maxi single so I can erase the two lousy ghei ones from before. THIS! THIS is how you should sing. With all your heart and soul in it. Like how you used to do it. Beauty and rough edges collides together which is guaranteed to leave an imprint in your mind. This is what a former Rentrer member should produce.
Go for: 'MOON SPIRAL', 'PRAY FOR THE SUN'.

	Title: sleep Band: SID Verdict: 3 stars. Not strong enough to be marketed as a single. Could've work better as an album filler. The second track is more outstanding for me. Highlight of this single would actually be 'Aikagi' which now has got me wanting to watch their concerts. Go for: 'Aikagi (live)', 'Utahime'.

	Title: Prana *AWEFUCKINGSOME* Band: SUGIZO Verdict: 5 stars. Taking on a different style this time, this song is a coming of age rave that I didn't think he could succeed at. Prana is his absolute best work that it may even surpass 'Spirituarise' (the remix by Juno Reactor). So so so good I had it on repeat every morning on the way to work to activate my brain. Go for: -

Title: advance / また朝が来る (aka Mata Asa ga Kuru)
Band: TOKIO
Verdict: 3 stars. While 'advance' is too cheerful but fresh, 'Mata Asa ga Kuru' is typical TOKIO yet nothing new. The most memorable song from this single is the surprise sleeper hit 'Period' in which Yamaguchi steals the limelight from Nagase. Now this is one performance I'd love to see. For one thing, who'll be playing bass?
Go for: 'Period'.

My parents have just left for JB to tend to my sister-in-law after she got warded earlier today for contractions. Her due date's actually a month away, so I hope she'll be fine.

No parents would mean I'll need to wake up at 7am this week to sidai baju and 'kemas' the house. And grab a cab to and from work. And tapau dinner. And... and... Bleargh. Terbang lah lagi duit aku bulan ni.

What's more, I already splurged indulgently on doramas from Saturday's day out with twinnie. Oh but at least I didn't buy Liar Game 2 and Quiz Game 2, ne? If I picked up those two, my expenses at Hiro Comic (and Jusco Wangsa Maju) would've totalled up to RM250. Guh.

It was Tsuyo's Day, indeed: Last Present, California Dream and Gakkou no Sensei. Too bad there weren't any Kochan dramas ;-;

Kimi wa Petto! In a bid to watch the original Japanese version before the sissy Korean one, I shall watch MatsuJun after I settle the three Tsuyo dvds (2 dramas and 1 special actually).

However, I got distracted from this plan because I watched 'Taiho Shichauzo' (aka You're Under Arrest) due to a sudden urge to see Hara Sachie and Itoh Misaki together ^^;;

Also, all those dvds may get kicked to the back if the Toma with Jude Law *squeeeee* on Kuwazugirai torrent finishes before tomorrow morning. Mwahahaha.

What is it with my favourites meeting my other favourites? First it was Tsuyoshi meeting Johnny Depp *squeals even louder* on 24Channel. Now it's Toma and Jude Law *squeals some more* ♥

Last year she brought one of her copies of the super rare pre-debut KinKi Kids photobook which then prompted Kochan and Tsuyo to autograph it right then and there. Bah!! I was so green with envy then that I didn't bother watching it.

Butai Updates Make Me Happy

I nearly lost my calm Work Mode composure when twinnie told me sometime after lunch about Takizawa Hideaki and Yara Tomoyuki working together in the upcoming Takizawa Kabuki. Damn near cost me time for GSC updates because I was too busy spazzing with her. Hahaha. xDD

It's Takki's directorial debut isn't it? Was it his idea to include a raburabu scene between the two main characters? Teeheehee. Too bad we won't be able to go watch it live, Farah... but CAN YOU ALREADY IMAGINE HOW MANY TAKKI-YARA FLUFF WILL SPAWN FROM THIS? *rubs palms eagerly to convince self not to feel too horrid*

Misosiru translated updates about the news [here]. In a separate post she also mentioned about Koichi's mishap during the flying stairs routine. The rope hit his face aside from not getting to execute a few of the moves. Ouch. I hope he isn't injured badly. And yes, I stress my point here on that I will forever worry about his condition in SHOCK. Apatah lah lagi si Tsuyo tu kan?

Since we're still on the topic of kabuki, interestingly enough Yara had said this line either in his jweb or on stage: [ "Great efforts will definitely be rewarded!! Definitely!!" ]

I haven't an idea how Yara will cope with E SHOCK and preparation for T Kabuki all at the same time. Less free time but him being someone who just cannot sit down at home and do nothing... he'll manage, ne? Busy, busy man. Apart from receiving more work offers, Yaracchi has really improved a lot and I'm happy that he's happy regardless if this means he won't be able to commit to more MA-centric projects this year. Especially Koichi's solo con and the MA-MIX segments on SCP.

Ssssspeaking of busy men, Sugizo has declared via myspace that he's overworked and will quit X Japan and be retiring soon then move to a small island in South East Asia. Nyeheh. Just kidding. As if, right?

Anyhow, actually he complained that his life isn't private anymore because he is holing himself up in the studio... writing -ohyeahbaybeh- NEW MATERIALS! YAY! So there'll be more iTunes singles which will be released once every month. Today's single, 'Prana', is absolutely delicious by the way ;D

Am slotting that review sometime with that writeup on Tokio's new single... Not sure when. Um yeaaah I'm still waiting for upcoming releases (DaizyStripper! wheeeeee~) so after that lorh.

Domoto Koichi to Fly with Japanese Umbrella on the Stage!

KinKi Kids member Domoto Koichi studied a consecutive lesson for the Tokyo Empire Theater 10th anniversary musical "Endless SHOCK".
After the lesson, Koichi revealed his own thoughts on the challenge to the longest performance: "I have gained a lot of weights. My weight now is 57kg, which is 5kg more than I usually am. 52kg is not enough for me, and I hope I can keep the best condition to the end!"

Mr. Kitagawa, the director of Johnny's Jimusho, took participate in the writing and composing of the musical. It is a story about Koichi whose body and soul are separated due to an accident while he is fighting for the unity of the company. In the highlight, which is a flying scene, Koichi will be in gold, holding a Japanese style umbrella in the hand, and flying from 8m high above the stage.

As to the flying scene in which the umbrella will be the lifeline, Koichi said: "My right hand is very strong." and made everyone laughed.

When the flower from the actress Mori Mitsuko was sent in, Koichi commented: "It reminds me that today is Valentine's day. I am always receiving gifts from Ms. Mori and I should give her a gift some time." And about the first performance later, "After considering the schedule of many guests who are going to take a Shinkansen back home, we will contract the performance and end it 20 minutes earlier. It's quite hard." Said Koichi while smiling, "However, I feel very lucky to be on the stage. Thanks to your support, I will do my best to fulfill your expectation."

The musical "Endless SHOCK" will be staged from February 14th to March 30th and July 4th to 31th!

Both aren't exactly Koichi's best sexiest photoshoots, but:

Ovation Feb 2010 has plenty of pages on him in a pretty cathedral and has that one shot where he's honest to goodness SMILING. Although he looks too friggin thin in here. It also has a 2 page pullout pinup.

Best Stage Mar 2010 only has around 8 pages of normal studio shots but it offers a 3 page pullout poster. Black outfit. *drools* And this issue has that MA interview. (Like OMG Yara!)

Both are fucking expensive I seriously would shit my pants.

Owh hell yeah, I love this Mandigo theme. Now I can spruce up the background here as much as I want to (when I'm free to). Major thanks to this tip off.

Shall start with KinKi ♥

Centralised background, hence we should be able to play around with higher screen resolutions. This will allow more widescreen customisation. Meaning: MOAR images to pimp with the possibility of a larger canvas width.

Looking at the limited viewing space for 1024x768 screens, I dunno how I'd be able fit all six Shinhwa members tho'. *sheepish smile* So I urge all of you to please buy widescreen monitors in order to see all the missing parts. Akekeke.

Or you can just change your browser 'zoom in' function.

On another geeky customising move I made: Google Analytics tracker has been added! Er, so the pageviews figures aren't gonna be huge or anything (note: estimating this blog will only hit less than 20 views per month) but I'm curious as to where my readers come from :P

Phew. Made it right on time by nicking a few hours on 1st February! Yikes O_O TWELVE REVIEWS?! *shakes head*

Title: IN PHYSICAL *AWEFUCKINGSOME*
Band: Ken (of L'Arc~en~Ciel)
Verdict: 5 stars. I vote he should leave Laruku and continue as a solo artist then produce more bands. What an absolute kickass album. Unhampered by his band's emo-punk style, these self-produced songs are stylish and classy. One of the best releases from 2009 (and last decade).
Go for: 'ETERNAL REST', 'IN PHYSICAL', 'SAVE ME' and practically everything in this album! xD

Title: Metamorphosis *AWEFUCKINGSOME*
Band: DEAD END
Verdict: 4.5 stars. Morrie is by far the most sturdy vocalist with hardly any break in prowess after what... almost 30 years? Here's some info on them just to prove my point. If you think veteran bands should stay away from making a comeback and further embarrass themselves like X Japan, spend some time to listen to this and be pleasantly amazed. It's bound to make you swear off all those teeth-gnashing new metal-slash-hiphop stuff that younger bands have been spewing -- if only for awhile. Because they totally bring back metal in Japanese rock. And it's been a few months for me to actually hear something worth repeating beside Ken's album thus I'm also awarding this with a Best of 2009 trophy.
Go for: 'Guillotine', 'Shinen', 'Dress Burning', 'Kill Me Baby', 'Devil Sleep', 'Meigou'.

Title: 羅針盤 (Rashinban)
Band: Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGoD
Verdict: 3.5 stars. Spunky and fresh. Yeah, a tad weird to describe it this way but their expert songwriting is really unique as opposed to other rising indie bands. After a year plus, I've familiarised with Danchou's high pitch as something he's good at *unplugs earbuds*. Handling ballads and metal riffs like nobody's business, these talented boys are progressing really fast and looks like they'll be debuting under a major label this year probably after March. So I'm looking forward to that.
Go for: 'Ring-a Ring-o', 'Mr.HEAVEN', 'Hakoniwa'.

	Title: Gain Band: Sadie Verdict: 1.5 stars. Nothing spectacular from this new mini. I can't even think up something nice to say. Ick... Just listen to 'Regret' and skip the others. Go for: 'Regret'.

Title: Canticum
Band: forbidden days of rhapsody
Verdict: 3 stars. Mika has returned to the foray as the frontman, bassist and programmer of this electronica-metal project. And omaigawd he got fellow ex-Rentrer bandmate Shun to join him *dies happy*. Cough. Beautiful songs, by the way. Another plus point would be featuring vocalist, Rui, who suddenly came into everyone's radar with his powerful voice. The mixing is beyond exquisite and should be listened to using superior headphones because 2 weeks ago I put this on speaker and thought it sucked. Oops.
Go for: 'REFILL' (inst), 'HANDCUFF', 'IN DELIRIUM' (inst).

	Title: 神羅万象 -摂理- (Shinrabansho -Setsuri-) Band: XodiacK Verdict: 1.5 stars. Guh. What happened to them? And what kind of production is this? Choppy songwriting and horrible quality -- It's as if they recorded in a garage all in one day. Go for: 'Kimi ni Furu Zetsubou no Ame'.

Title: JUBILEE -Method of Inheritance- *HOT*
Band: Versailles
Verdict: 4 stars. In memory of Jasmine You, I couldn't help sighing and remembering their first album which practically bled your ears with high speed guitar riffs. I'm not entirely fond of the gay Waltz-like strings in 'Reminisce' and tame 'Amorphous'. Granted this is their first major album so it's possible they turned down their intensity a notch somewhat? Nevertheless, this is a good album that benefits a HOT tag because they have their production down to pat. Excellent work! And pay attention to 'Serenade' for the underlying meaning. [Random note: Silly me, I only found out last month that Teru was from Aikaryuu. SLOW, Arfah!]
Go for: 'PRINCESS -Revival of Church-', 'Serenade', 'gekkakou', 'Catharsis'.

Title: us. *HOT*
Band: the Underneath
Verdict: 4 stars. Another 2009 album I overlooked. A little bit of everything can be found here: some old-Laruku, some AliceNine, some Inoran, some Pierrot. And I LOVE it. To death. So now when I'm completely digging it, they announce that they're disbanding! What a shame. Technically, this is their last album but not their final goodbye since they'll release a maxi single in March. One more good band bites the dust.
Go for: 'Chou no Koe -The scream of the butterfly-', 'Insomnia', 'Aria', 'Ghost in the Mirror'.

Title: ABINGDON ROAD *AWEFUCKINGSOME*
Band: abingdon boys school
Verdict: 5 stars. They deliver us the goods on a gold platter (again). Yet they still cheat us by releasing too many good singles. I counted only 5 new songs. Hey but nothing and nobody can deny the greatness of this album. No huge cult hit as of yet although I'm pitting my money on the severely angsty 'Siren' against the snazzy 'PINEAPPLE ARMY'. Check out the Valkyrie remix, man.
Go for: 'PINEAPPLE ARMY', 'Siren', 'Kimi no Uta', 'From Dusk Til Dawn', 'STRENGTH.' and yeaaah anything and everything.

Title: LASTICA
Band: Karasu
Verdict: 2.5 stars. I kinda have an image of them riding Harleys while cruising down Vegas in all-black leather outfits. Well, they've got the clothes right. Yet the song lacks the punch in the gut feel I normally get from Tats. And the repeating melody is tiresome after 4-5 runs. Not betting anything on karasu for now although they are pretty compatible with each other.
Go for: Obviously 'Lastica' because they only have 1 song.

	Title: Monad Band: Vidoll Verdict: 2 stars. Hm. Not really for me. yawn Decent, but definitely isn't what I thought I could expect. Vidoll is quite an old band so why are they making platonic half-fluff like DuelJewel? I think I'll just stick to fluff from SID or Ayabie. Go for: 'Darwinism', 'hot cage remix'.

Title: 彩-irodori-
Band: Ayabie
Verdict: 3 stars. Ooh. This new change gets an approving nod from me. They've shrugged off their bubblegum poprock musical style to a mature blend of their signature oshare-kei with something I can't quite put a finger on. 'GAME' is highly addictive!
Go for: 'GAME', 'Aitakute', 'Canary'.

Stocking Up

I almost gagged when my mother praised Boys Over Flowers during dinner earlier. She said lately she'd hurry home after Maghrib prayers because BOF is extremely funny and has not one, but FOUR *gasp* handsome heroes. I dare not comment in order not to become supremely pissy with her =_______=;;;

Another 2 weeks left to Chinese New Year and I'm pretty excited about our family's camping trip to Desaru.

Looong weekend, boring 5-hours ride down South, outdoor BBQ, noisy sisters, the pristine beach (yay!) and the perfect time to show off unveil my iPod Touch. Heheh.

Yeah, I kinda bought it just so I won't die from mal-KinKi-nutrition (since I don't have a laptop). But I refuse to install a video converter solely for the sake of storing vids. It's not even remotely possible for me to choose what I might have time to watch and then spending time to decide is such a hassle. Boo!

Am shuffling all 30gb of Jrock but still feel bored to death. Yeah, slow day today.

Planning for the weekend doesn't help either. I don't even know what I wanna do other than sleep :P

Maybe I should follow up on Jess' suggestion to teman me to Amcorp Mall or Petaling Street. Although cough my pocket's pretty much empty already thanks to my brand new shiny iPod Touch. *lovingly rubs Tsuyo* Yes. I'm naming him Tsuyo xDD

Anyway. The office is (half) abuzz with Monday's Annual Company Dinner at Hilton. Except for that oh so clever decision by the bosses to have a 'Wear Something on top of Your Head' theme that's got me bothered. wth should I wear lah?? A headphone? A cap? *dusts out yellowish Kangta cap* This is like... the most decent cap I have pulak tu. Sheesh.

Made a math mistake regarding those KinKi Kids' concert audio rips which I mentioned in a few posts before.

6 days of concerts did NOT clock up to only 12.3 hours. It was actually 18.9 hours. Heh.

Not in the mood to review this month. =___= I'm fresh out of ideas eventhough the list of VK downloads I had thought of going through is fast piling up. Well technically it'll be February in 11 days so I'll have at least 2 weeks to get inspired. Someone inspire me, please!

I was thinking of writing an uplifting one for the Underneath's album from last year. Until they went and announced their breakup yesterday. Uhh so I dunno when I'd do it.

Now that they've gulung their tikar, there's no longer a cheaper direct flight route to Japan. Apparently Kuala Lumpur is just not important enough for Japan's biggest carrier company, ANA, because we have been scrapped off their flight plan. Ciskek. Damn MAS for being so expensive. I sure as hell ain't gonna fly with them. Not unless ANA's Singapore route is way too exorbitant.

Sigh. Here's to hoping I am sturdy enough to save A LOT of money for our next trip in 2011.

I had a disturbing weird dream of Lembu working with CMG on the upcoming Suju concert. (ﾟДﾟ|||) !!

Disturbing: It started with a radio interview of her boasting about how she's making a huge comeback by roping in Super Junior for their first ever (official) concert in Malaysia.

Very Disturbing: CMG's head honcho Mr. A was praising her. No wait, that's not what shocked me. I mentally had an image of A as a pervy old man. Seriously. Where the hell did he come from?

Even More Disturbing: This dream totally switched scenes to Mr. A sexually harassing the Lembu in an office. Dear God, why why why me?

Ok, so like... *facepalms* I understand the possible connection between her and the whole buzz regarding the concert. And maybe the harassment part was due to some ebooks I read before nodding off to sleep.

Aaaand I'd need to sit down over the weekend to listen to 9 additional hours of KinKi concert rips. That means the total hours of KinKi Kids J Concert audios: 3 in Tokyo + 3 in Osaka = estimated 12.3 HOURS x_____x

Reading up (some more) about KinKi Kids' zodiac took up my working hours today. Oops. There goes productivity, down the drain... Whooosh!

My OTP doesn't allow me to work seriously anymore. Not after our trip to Japan. I have a feeling I might get sacked sooner or later for becoming despondent and for other nefarious reasons.

What a tortorous week. Can't the weekend come sooner? Speaking of weekends, Farah and I will be visiting JLa because she got admitted due to her recurring asthma. I didn't realise sooner from the FB posts so I'm very sorry, my madu! Will make it up to you this Sat. =)

Oh! Someone has finally uploaded forbidden days rhapsody's Canticum! But Sendspace is a bitch. I hate my connection right now. I'm sleepy. I'm whining so I should get this post over with by lamenting about how Yoshiki is ruining his band's image as a legend.

X Japan's "Made in Hollywood" four music videos is not so good news. For me. I dunno. Yoshiki just really suck nowadays with his broken promises, his obsession in trying to commercialise VK into the US market and the cancelled concerts. And him pulling in SUGIZO again and again is making me ill. Sugi-chan jumps from one project (Juno Reactor) to another project (this) TOO fast that his body would surely combust the next time he steps close to a nuclear reactor. Sorry, that was a pun due to his activist role. I know you don't get it but whatthehey. Anyhoo~ If Sugizo complains about being so tired but still works his skinny ass off 24/7 then he should just stop and rest, yes?
