- Uh oh. That 2PM song keeps replaying in my head. Again. And again. < Ke-CHAN-an + Ke-TAEC-an + Ke-SU-an > KAHKAHKAHKAHKAH
- Wonder Girls concert was fun!
- The Luna Sea concert leg in Hong Kong that me and Karat had wanted to go to was the same day of WG's concert. :(
- KinKi Kids 2010-2011 tour started a few days before the Wonder Girls concert. "Domoto Family" sounds very well produced with medleys of so many of all the old songs they seldom sing nowadays. It's almost like they shortened their MCs to make way for that. <3
- Someone posted an old Johnny's Junior pic and that kid beside Yonehana looks like Takizawa. Is he? And the boy behind (scrunched up face) couldn't be Tsubasa right? Takkan Yara pulak?? xD

BPM 2010 Concert Goods
Looking so delicious in black... My purse cannot tahan oredi. Paiseh. I knew there'd be something interesting from Koichi's BPM concert merchandise list because I have a fixation for an item that has a dangling KD symbol/insignia :)
The goods from previous concerts that I really really liked but didn't have the money for were: phone dangler, earphone dangler and wrist strap dangler. Like I said, I'm obsessed with dangly parts. (Sounds wrong...)
That t-shirt, at bottom left of picture, would look better if it has colours instead of being dull B&W. Plus, I am at war with this dominatrix outfit he wears for 'Bad Desire'. XP~~
My original plan was to buy that makeup pouch. However, it's supremely small if compared with the shop photos and huisinh jual mahal giler nak mampos. I don't need another penlight (yet) and the other merc boleh diabaikan.

Oooh! But but but look at this pill case. Isn't it adorable? Love the silver emboss and the inscription inside. But I don't take supplements and this would so be a waste. The prettiness is making my heart break. Unless I start eating vits from now on? Uh... semata-mata untuk ni. Takyah lah.
Initially, I thought this pass case is to place passports. Then I thought it was a ticket pouch where a person keeps concert tickets. It's actually for pasmo cards. And it's gorgeous! *wipes drool*
The dangling insignia (tiny one you see with the chain), blingness and functionality is the perfect combination for me. My Touch 'n Go card will have a new home soon :D
Fyi, the insignia I'm talking about is this: the reversible Domoto Koichi initials

Summer Is (Almost) Over
Dramas are drawing to an end. Concerts have begun. Rock bands are touring.
It isn't like I followed a lot of summer dramas this year anyway. 'Tobo Bengoshi' worked fine for me to eclipse the disappointment of 'Tsuki no Koibito' and the frustration I underwent no thanks to Celcom Broadband not letting me download 'Unubore Deka'. I'm looking forward to next season's 'Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso' and maaaybe will try out 'Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo'.
Domoto Koichi's BPM concert tour will move to Hokkaido this weekend so I predict audio rips for Saturday and Sunday are going to be available on Monday. Workaholic Kochan has a really tight schedule this year with back-to-back stages: Shock > BPM > Kansai Super Show (Seven Samurai) > KinKi con > next year's Shock!
Besides KinKi-san, I'm also anticipating NEWS and T&T cons because they've been absent for too long :)
Chemical Pictures is at this very moment at their first one-man live (Congratulations!), NoGoD are moving about at an extremely crazy pace and D'espairsRay are having their US tour. MUCC, on the other hand, is gearing up for their new album release (6 October wheeee). Oh and we can also expect a new album by abingdon boys school if I understood Nishikawa's tweets correctly!
2010 had a slow start with a few hiccups here and there for me. But I like how it picked up rather momentously since August :D
And October onwards (especially November) is surely going to be even moar awesome. *winks*

My Wish Came True
I was one of the 12,894 viewers who held our breaths over what happened in Hong Kong at 3pm today. *insert shit eating grin* lol. Isn't it absolutely fated that today just happens to be a holiday so I can watch the press conference at UStream?
It is SO good to see them sitting together. In fact, I was already squealing looking at the airport arrival photos with all five in one shot. Heheh. I can't wait to show you the PC pictures because omaigoodness... J was seriously handsome, he looks like a mix between So Jisub and Park Yong Ha.
Anyhow, for starters they're going on a World Tour! Another OMG details is that they will be singing new songs. Waaaaah~ NEW SONGS!
The concert tickets are open like end of this week!! So fast! Unfortunately, the air tickets are not exactly cheap TT____TT But by golly I've got to save up money for the flight ticket. By hook or by crook. Taiwan? Hong Kong? Anyone nak ikut?

Of course, now that they're back... HOW AM I GOING TO FUND MY LUNA SEA BINGES?! And I have other fandoms too boohoohoo.

Yep. Brian's fruity tooty, alright.
Brian's showcase was beyond wonderful. He's the most down-to-earth and hilarious gasoo to ever grace Malaysian soil. And such a great appearance of his comedic side during 8TV Nite Live.
It was also a super tiring weekend of chasing after the elusive man. Kejar sini sana tapi cuma dapat see the back of his head...
But all that cannot top the poignant scene right after he had dinner today. Thank you for being such a sweetheart, Brian Joo. Please come to Malaysia again!
And in the meantime... pass the word about all the Malaysian food you had to all your friends :) Especially Hwanhee and Shinhwa. *wink*
To end this amazing high, I just saw the cover jacket visuals for KinKi's J con DVDs <33

It's Already June!
How fast time goes by, yet still no KinKi related DVDs. Good morning, people. This isn't what I wanted to talk about today. Sorry about that.
I'm getting dragged to Lanchang (spelling?), Pahang this Sunday for a wedding. So I'd need to go shop for new shoes on Sat. And perhaps squeeze in movie watching in the agenda. A-Team's awesome! But I'd love to watch Prince of Persia. Anyone?
There might be reviews coming up soon once I get my hands on MUCC's Yakusoku maxi-single. For now look out for Sugizo's musical soundtrack (biased review), CPS's 'Tokarev', DELUHI's 'Frontier' and NoGod's 'Kakusei'. Still halfway to a complete wishlist.
Anyway, June is the time when big announcements should come out regarding Seoul, yes?
Other than the above and CDJapan purchases, my money will be used up for Brian Joo's showcase on July 10 and quite possibly Wonder Girls' event.

Apparently Friendster blog's commenting problem has been resolved. No notification received. Only got like an email about moderating a spam comment. Nyeh. I've already gotten cozy here at Blogger. Should I just close my Friendster account?
Wonder Girls, Beast, Brian Joo? Er, aku paling sanggup pn bayar teket plg murah for WG and Brian.
Sugizo and Gackt? GILER BEST.

Jinkaku Radio Comeback!
HOMG I WAITED 3 YEARS FOR THIS!! *goes and searches for newest single released just last Wednesday*
THANK YOU JINKAKU-SAN FOR COMING BACK! ♥♥♥
What a great mood lifter after yesterday's bad experience of a rock concert. Don't get me wrong, Tokio Hotel is by no means bad. But the whole moshing with idiots and people who have no inkling of real music (those fucks who came only for Bunkface) will leave me feeling bitter with the idea of attending a free gig in Malaysia.
I really have to go to a VK concert to compare with. =_=
And also to prove whether I'm not too old to enjoy a concert or if I'm just biased towards VK.

A Simple Miscalculation
Made a math mistake regarding those KinKi Kids' concert audio rips which I mentioned in a few posts before.
6 days of concerts did NOT clock up to only 12.3 hours. It was actually 18.9 hours. Heh.
Is it very obvious that I'm practically dying waiting for the DVD release? You kill me, Johnny-sama.

Fighting Off Sleep
Need. To. Stay. Awake. I've got 22 more pages of Fhiz's thesis to proofread. *rubs eyes*
Although Tsuyoshi's solo albums proved to be helpful in keeping me company yesterday evening, Endlicheri is making me drowsy tonight. -__- Sorry, man. It's Koichi's turn tonight. Cough.
In the meantime, I've got beautimous MQ fancams of their 30th and 11th concerts queued up in CB (eventhough it's sluggish right now, grr!!). Aaaand I'd need to sit down over the weekend to listen to 9 additional hours of KinKi concert rips. That means the total hours of KinKi Kids J Concert audios: 3 in Tokyo + 3 in Osaka = estimated 12.3 HOURS x_____x
Speaking of concerts... I shall stop bitching about X Japan's Hollywood venture and Yoshiki's super-duper-ego-stroking narcissist self. For now. Will wait for them to actually deliver us the four finalised PVs.
One day left to weekend ;_; HURRRRRRY UPPPPPP~
[note to self: NEED to review Ken's In Physical, DEAD END's Metamorphosis, NoGoD's Rashinban, Sadie's Gain and forbidden days rhapsody's Canticum so that I don't fail in providing awesome new stuff for you to explore]
Ooooh I'm not sleepy anymore. Whew.

Waiting for Countdown
MU and MF is blardy evil so I'm downloading the raw file for yesterday's Countdown con from CB.
Anyway, I have finished listening to 9.1 hours of three days (30th, 31st Dec and 1st Jan) worth of KinKi Kids' J Concert. Huah penat gile telinga aku! Coz I'm using headphones in order to hear everyyyy little detail, ne. To make sure I don't miss anything cough loveydovey, ne.
It was so much fun! Judging from since1997★'s pictures of the colourful stage and the echoing Oohs and Aahs, I won't mind paying another huge sum if JE releases it as a KinKi You-ish sort of DVD packaging. Of course it must include the FULL parts of their 1-2 hours long MCs where they tease their kouhais (MA, THEYBudou and NYC Boys), KinKi's random and super interesting storytelling and especially Koichi's birthday poem recital! xD
And MA! Emm! Ayy! KinKi-san let their juniors talk more now therefore... YARA! YAAARAAA!! His giggly self has been so missed.
The crowd is really awesome too. Honestly. The fans made me feel like I was at Tokyo Dome with them. Ahhh there'll be a few years for me to save money for a KinKi con. T___T
Gawrsh! The DVD's sooo going to be #1 on my 2010 purchase list! ( ´∀`)
Ooh yea well umm... I'd have to wait for their 2 days Osaka concerts to end first. Since the Tokyo leg didn't feature a second kiss which usually accompanies the husband's birthday celebration, here's to hoping Tsuyo will 'attack' Kochan at the definite end of their tour to mark the success of their newfound happiness (aka their daughter, Pan-chan). *crosses fingers*

Hello, new decade. Happy 2010!
For some unimaginable reason, black coloured leech-like worms appear out of nowhere in our living room since yesterday afternoon. These gross looking maggots wiggle pretty fast and will only be killed with copious sprays of heavy-duty 'For Cockroaches' bugspray.
After 2-3 mins of clearing up a mess and the minute you turn away, another one mysteriously appears in the center of the room. Misteri nusantara... *shivers* Freaky, huh? Well, not quite. It actually fell from the ceiling. To be specific, from the ceiling fan that suddenly stopped working around 2pm. =__=
So I spent my New Year's Eve in the room (leaving the foul smelling matter to my cousin) and figuring out how to watch Johnny's Countdown live while pre-con spazzing with Farah and Kak Bailah. lol.
Ehh the countdown was effing slow for me. Because AssHoleTV KeyHoleTV kept kicking me out, I watched it on a streaming site (thanks to Felise) eventhough the lag and frame-skip was horrendous. But anyway, yay for our first LIVE Countdown watching :D

So J logo has a lot of uses, huh? *points to Countdown sign* Recycling is eco-friendly.
Yay for KoichiNagase swaying together ♥ (Happy 31st Birthday, Kochan)
Yay for TakkiTsuba acting loveydovey ♥
Yay for Ryo-focus (Osaka) during NEWS' perf (Tokyo)!
Umm Tsuyo was unsmiling because KinKi held a concert in the afternoon. He was tired? *shrugs* But at least he was laughing when the audio system botched up their Swan Song perf.
Will wait for uncut Countdown video to scan for any OkaTsuyo interaction. I feel sorry for Taichi tho, as both him and Tsuyo were completely unfeeling 'Fantastipo'.
*wraps KinKi penlight and stores in cupboard*

Goodbye to a Decade. Gokurasama, 2009!
Here's a not-so brief recap of my life from 2000 to 2009. No big accomplishments. But I take life as it is (with a grain of salt) and although resolutions aren't my thing, this is definitely the right time for a milestone post :)
My head's merely going with what I can dig up from my weak memory.
A lot of good and bad things happened this year. I may have even changed a bit eventhough I'm still generally young at heart. *cough*
I dunno if I'll be able to think up of more because you're in danger of falling asleep from boredom. Guh.
My head's merely going with what I can dig up from my weak memory.
- [2000] Final year of school life. Aah~ the bittersweet times of being a teenager.
- Death of my love for L'Arc~en~Ciel. It was a joy knowing them but I have moved on. Thank you for introducing me to Jrock, Hyde-san ;)
- Malay-dominated Matriculation course in Pulau Pinang killed my English. Seriously. So few English-speakers to befriend. Malay songs rotted my brain :[
- Death of a loved one [2002]: My mother. Al-Fatihah.
- Shortly after that, I enrolled at UKM studying Computer Science. Another major reason why my English proficiency died. XP
- But if it wasn't for UKM, I wouldn't have berjinak (sorry, can't find a better word for it) with Korean entertainment. And I wouldn't have met my beloved separate-end-of-the-Pole twinnie Farah. ♥
- Koreans overtook my heart. I flitted around a lot at first before stopping at Shinhwa and Park Hyo Shin. Hmm actually I've now cut down to only Shinhwa. Even just the six of them hurts my money.
- Rise and fall of a kingdom. Heart still pains over this. "Gaining Through Losing" is an apt metaphor.
- SHINHWA IN SINGAPORE! Enough said. *eyes crinkle from awesome unforgettable memories*
- The trials and tribulations brought us all closer. ILY, Orenji Famili.
- My slow but sure return to Japanese rock with the help of several bands I call my saviours: Gazette [2006], MUCC [2006], RENTRER EN SOI [2008].
- My very obvious rekindled love for LUNA SEA [2007]. They were my sole reason I could survive in Penang for 1 year without reliable Internet connection. Although I couldn't forgive them for disbanding, their comeback made me realise where my loyalty truly lies.
- A 'steady' career working with Elderaan Technologies, if I may call it that, ensures that I have an almost steady supply of Kpop and VK. And no, I'm not thinking of continuing my studies.
- Har har. So much for Kpop eh? Jaded-ness has ruined my respect for the Korean music industry. Goodbye, fake love.
- Family rifts. I'm neither here nor there nor on the fence. I sway whenever it pleases me. However, I will NOT end this cold war with that asshole of a person I should be calling Brother.
- Sarina Abdullah Thani and Siti Aishah Khairazan (+ her sporting hubby). My bestfriends and soulmates? ILY as well. ♥
- My disgraceful yet verrry satisfactory downfall into Johnny's and Associates fandom. All thanks to KinKi Kids, my newest heroes who protected me from a period of depression during early 2009.
- Japan. Oh my God, JAPAN. My utmost travel dream came true. ♥♥
- Visual Kei and Orenji Famili. Highly impossible to be crossed over was my first thought. LOL. Look at us now. We're even holding concert nights :D
- Two weddings in a year [2009]. My eldest brother and my younger brother.
A lot of good and bad things happened this year. I may have even changed a bit eventhough I'm still generally young at heart. *cough*

VK Night Out 1 update
It was fun! We should do this more often. But then that'd mean I'll have to download more concerts, ne?
Alice Nine is a talented bunch, actually. My bad for dissing them all this while. ^^;;
Luna Sea. Ohhh Luna Sea. I will never tire watching your reunion concert. In fact it always somehow tears me up inside that you guys are no longer together. But... all breakups lead to truer love, imo. Sugizo's actively saving the Earth and spreading his Divaness self onto so many different projects. Shinya's, well, still the unsung King of Drummers. J is seriously successful now and and and his marriage (sorry Farah, I forgot he got hitched this year). Ryuichi is happily married and bounced back to the correct path with Tourbillon. And thanks to Ryu, Inoran is not all alone anymore.
Next band? Hmmmmmm what do you we rock out to abingdon boys school? Mish, when are you free? 8D

Tsuyoshi kissed Koichi. On the *lips. Again.
(*^^)^*)☆ chuu!
It's only been the second day of KinKi-san's J concert tour but seems like the frugal weather in Hokkaido has warmed up their spirits and fired up their LURVE!! ♥
Happy touring, my loves. I can hardly wait for the Tokyo con to see more action! O(≧∇≦)O

SMK (L) Abingdon
Before I start with the review, let me borrow a word from DiGi's advertisements: FUIYOH! Oh man, that's the best expression I can come up with to describe how incredible this darned concert is. You simply can NOT not enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes of sublime awesomeness by these four men regardless whether you've heard their songs or no.

The DVD covers their final Zepp Tokyo performance interspersed with cut scenes from other concert venues so prepare to be wowed out of your socks. The segmenting between songs change are smooth, the setting is plain and simple with only a huge backdrop of their insignia, there's numerous camera pan-ins on the whole stage and the crazy audience, and then there's the band themselves!
Takanori is an amazing vocalist and a capable MC who can throw a really good rock concert. He has fun screaming, jumping and dancing around throughout the performance and seldom hits a wrong note. He runs out of breath during 'LOST REASON' but picks up quickly after that.

SUNAO and Shibasaki bring the heavies notably on 'HOWLING', 'NERVOUS BREAKDOWN' and 'Fre@k Show'. Shibasaki is justified as the better guitarist (eh since he wrote most of the tracks) but he falters quite a bit on his leads and loses his stamina nearing the second half. SUNAO then takes up the lead as his songs are slotted towards the end. Pretty balanced tracklist.

Leader-san Kishi is the brain of the band (Takanori is the heart, of course) and holds his presence strong on the techno & piano parts. I especially love his intro on 'Via Dolorosa' and bridge on my favouritest song, 'DESIRE'.
[caption id="attachment_534" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Dancing and swaying to their infectious music"]

The encore is finally saved for Buck-Tick's and Luna Sea's covers. Omg 'Sweetest Coma Again'... They just made me severely rethink that LS song. Heheh. Well, there's no part of this concert that anyone can hate. They are just so damn good at this, even with it being their first official tour. Built from a background of experienced musicians, I'd say they are ridiculously too humble for their own good!

Oh! The English dubbed documentary, which is only available with the limited release, shows the backstage clips of the quartet. Endless funnies courtesy of Takanori and Shibasa. Apparently TAKUYA∞ from UVERworld was the rap substitute in 'LOST REASON' at other concert venues while MICRO only came in for this Tokyo leg.

Memoirs of a male geisha II
The WOWOW released vids of both summit days were harshly cut up. At least the ones I got off torrent. But so far:
A couple more bands available to download are Versailles, heidi and the Underneath. Dare I ask if
T.M.Revolution,
Phantasmagoria and
OBLIVION DUST gets uploaded? I wanna see Takenori-san!
On a more general issue, Hyung's now back from Tokyo (Okaeri!). And guess which ultra famous blonde Jrocker she saw jaywalking at Shibuya wearing-shades-at-night, talking-oh-so-loud and ignoring-all-the-pointings-and-mutterings-and-fan-worshippings?
Holy pffffft. Yep. Yoshiki-sama. *cries* How come I only realise she was there during the festival weekend?!
- Luna Sea; whom besides X managed to own Ajinomoto Stadium on Day 2. Damn, they were really in their game. Watching "In Silence" (my most favouritest song) live made me want to cry since they rarely play it during concerts.
- X Japan and Muteki Band; I skipped all the Drama King sessions, but performance-wise.. I think they (pft, Yoshiki) ought to seriously end the reunion before their
heartslegacy burns out. It was awesome when nearing the end, where all the bands except Diru came on stage for a raucous show of "X". - D'espairs Ray; Only "Brilliant" was uploaded?! Mind you, they were brilliant so I hope someone will put up their whole session (if any).
- MUCC; Again, only ONE song. But I looooooved "Fuzz" live cos Tatsurou is just so infectious.
- Dir en grey; Still downloading. Not looking too forward to them (you know how I feel about the 'new' Diru) since they went absent during Muteki Band performance. Hmm.
- Spread Beaver; Yes, now I'm looking forward to something good. Bring on the best of hide's music, baby.

Memoirs of a male geisha
I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH! xDD Thanks to twinnie for letting me know vids are already up. And thank God I just bought an external HDD Luna Sea @ hide Memorial Summit *rolls over and dies*
The X torrent will be next. Dunno why each group performances are being split apart. My guess would be the easier for fandoms?
X and LS and MUCC (Tats + Miya) and TMR all on one stage, together, will totally pwn my life right now. And then there are all the rest of the summit days with DesRay , Spread Beaver and Diru.. *throws work-stress out the window*

Malaysianised VK?
Note: VK = Visual Kei. A branch in Japanese Rock (abb: JRock) that deals in heavily-adorned makeup and costumes. A most often than not misunderstood genre of music.
---------
"JRock Kingdom"? (http://www.jrock-kingdom.com/) Volume 4..?
Pardon the exaggerated eye-roll for the ridiculously 'original' titling. Eh, but no offense to them lah, since their events were already underway about 4 years ago. Ouu and it's sheer coincidence that a certain club was using the same ingenious branding name style.
Anywaaaay, there'll be lots of local VK bandsschmucking performing at Ruums. I may be too old for this sort of thing. Me, in a room full of wannabes dressed up to the hilt and acting way too superior?
I'll think about it, Karat.
