caution: this is a Jrock Rant session, so you may skip this entry if you'd like. i've been bogged down by the a.b.s. fever for the past week! this may perhaps turn out to be my second Saviour (while the first was Gazette).
amidst the revival and reunions of pioneer bands like Luna Sea and X Japan, there is Hope yet still which has emerged from the contriteness in this current generation's Jrock scene. and when each band gets younger and younger......
kowtow to abingdon boys school (aka a.b.s.), an uprising band that has got everyone abuzz with it's spanking riffs and fresh lease of life to alternative/ progressive music.
their debut album that shares the same name ("abingdon boys school") is full of spunk and edginess, coupled with clever (read: comprehendable English) lyrics and impressive skill.
i was influenced into them by jrocknyc's blog when he cited that a.b.s. is his biggest regret - for not liking them earlier. horrifyingly, i too had been denying the existence of a.b.s. when everyone else had blabbed on and on about them. i mean, alice nine was praised too but i don't even like that band. :P
anyway, a.b.s. has TM Revolution as vocalist (YESH! that same fella who sang 'HEART OF SWORD' for Rurouni Kenshin yearsssss ago), Sunao on guitar, Hiroshi Shibasaki on bass and Toshiyuki Kishi as programmer. they may not actually make a pretty picture cos they're so frigging old, and the image of them donning boarding school uniforms can turn some people off.. but imo old people can rock better. ahahaha!
their nifty marketing technique using the school boy theme also extends to their PVs which are so cool compared to recent trends for goth/death/punk *cough cough*. it's a sheer delight to see old people (teehee) rockin' out and making excellent and tasteful rock music. :D

omedetou Tet-chan! (^_^)
Just when I start listening back to old L'Arc~en~Ciel songs, and just when I am about to start downloading their latest album.... I find out that Tetsu (bassist) is going to get hitched to this really purty model named Sakai Ayana!
awwwwwww Omedetou gozaimasu, Tet-chan :D
p/s: I'm not bearing any grudge because I know he ain't getting any younger..
Here's the link to the announcement on his bride-to-be's blog. Not surprisingly, their age gap is 16 years *fake gasp*. He's always been a paedo. xD
siiigh. Tetsu happens to be the reason why I fell in love with bass (and bassists) 10 years ago. His riffswere are so blardy complex and back then, when I was still a teenybopper-psycho, I had never heard of anything so mesmerizingly beautiful. Well.. apart from Haido-san. heheh.
Anyway, the point is that Laruku really made a big impact in my life ;]

Happy Birthday, Dongwan!
Selamat Ulang Tahun buat suamiku tercinta <3
Tatkala dia sedang sibuk membikin recording 'tuk album baru, disamping persiapan (secara mental) utk menjalankan tugas besar tahun hadapan... isk isk, ku melewati Photoshop yg sudah kian lama tidak disentuh dan menyediakan grafik untuk hari jadinya.
Apsal aku tulis dalam BM ni? hish.
For a few days I'll be using this graphic as my profile background. Just until I manage to bake another Luna Sea layout for December (the concert is 33 days away!!)
I hope my love reaches him ;D

ish ish demo nih..
Watch this vid! http://youtube.com/watch?v=zs4vAJJSGg4.
Damn funny weh~ However, you should at least have an inkling knowledge of Kelantanese dialect (and a plus point is that you have watched "Ali Setan") to fully understand the jokes.
Yesterday, Cinema Online and Cinnamon the Lion visited the Metrowealth Cineplex in Kajang for a cinema tour (my first!). Had the chance to finally meet the man from our nightmare, for us in Showtimes Dept, the person we'd have to call to remind them to send us their showtimes schedule: Mr Tong. It was a... well, surprise to find out that he's actually the General Manager *gasp*.
We were treated free, with free popcorn heheh, to that Pierre Andre movie, "9 September". The movie was slightly bearable if only due to the wonderful ending. Yet out of courtesy to Mr Tong and to show respect to the Sarawakian journalists (they were also invited and sat behind us) I *tried* to laugh at the jokes.
After that, we were treated to a Hi-Tea buffet at the Lemon Restaurant (owned by Metrowealth's CEO) where stars typically hangout for functions or etc. The place looks great, food was so-so and the Ice Lemon Tea was yummmmmy.

lovin' them shinigamis whom can whoop ass
Busy November. *sigh* my weekends are non-existent this month. i haven't gone to lepak at Amcorp for quite some time T_T. meanwhile, my sister keeps prodding me to go for a binging session at Seoul Bulgogi. fortunately, gaji dah masuk. unfortunately, my money is now a "No Touch" zone due to October's heavy spending. x___x so i can say bye-bye to the 2 Syuju repackages. pre-screenings for some cool upcoming movies and Neopets 8th Anniversary are the only things i look forward to.
well, enough of pathetic updates of my sad life. looks like Bleach's current Hueco Mundo Arc has picked up it's slow and unexciting pace by finally re-inserting the real ass-kicking heroes of the manga series.
*smacks Kubo Tite mangaka-san on his head*
those white robed, thrashy-looking Allancars get on my nerve (with the exception of Grimmjow *coughcough*) with such a dragging plotline that spanned for like... at least 50 chapters!
FINALLY, the much awaited showdown between Aizen and the Gotei 13 (AND Gin and Rangiku) commences! mwahahaha!
