Pop quiz, hotshot

O-kay. In today's meeting, WebOps (our Web Operations team) was the first department to be subjected to the torture of a nail-biting, nerve-wrecking and juice-squeezing quiz.

Part 1 of a total of three pop quizzes spanning over the coming weeks, this afternoon's  theme was: "Know Your Malaysian Cinemas."

Next week's is "Know Your Cinema Online Magazine and Website."

The final topic will be "2007 and 2008 Blockbuster Movies in Malaysia."

So what does motivate us over-aged kids to (actually) study and strive to score?

TWO tickets to any GOLD CLASS movie in GSC.

Pwned!

Escapism

Empty tirade

I had no idea I've become so jaded with life this early on in my years.

All I'd love to do is hide in my shell then ignore my phone calls, ignore my smses, ignore my work, ignore all the annoying strangers I meet everyday and ignore the world.

And then some might think I was born this aloof (hah!) and refuses to accept how other human beings are different from my own ego-bloated self.

Venus in Virgo. I strive for perfection. It's no wonder that I can't handle hanky-panky issues with much grace. Oh please enlighten me on how to handle persistent callers. Some people just don't take the hint however blatantly obvious I've shunned them.

I think I'll just go wallow myself in Jrock. Nothing else can make me feel better anyway.

Onegai! (Please!)

Cover_l
CD-Data! March issue! I WANT!

*pffft* As in I seriously, seriously, seriously, MUST have it. I'd die (or bawl my eyes out) if I don't own this particular issue. Luna Sea concert pics omgomgomg.

Don't know when I'm able to pop into Kinokuniya to find it. Would anyone be a darling and see if it's already there, please? Would be located at the Japanese magazines side.

I might decide to go to KLCC tomorrow. But on the account that I do not manage to find it on the shelf yet...

Please please help be on the lookout for it if you swing by KLCC anyday, eh? I'll so worship you (and owe you) if you could purchase it too. Should be around RM25 liddat. Oh thank you thank you thank you.

This issue is pretty easy enough to recognise. It has Luna Sea as cover omgomgomg. If you don't know how they look like.... keywords on the cover are "Luna Sea + March + Acid Black Cherry".

ftw

  • Couldn't find the left pair of my work sandals cos someone bloody meshed all the shoes in the cabinet

  • Feet melecet again

  • Only had maggi kari for lunch

  • Steeewpid Celcom decides to play games by not letting me send out messages

  • Embarrassed that I was on the train going home ALONE late at night when everybody else is with their respective partners

  • Realised how pathetic I was trying not to look like I didn't have a date (or ain't going home to a husband)

  • Nobody at home replied to my text(s) about picking me up at the station

  • Waited an hour for someone to notice my goddamn smses

  • Shitty phone gave up on my screwed up life and died when I felt like smashing it on the ground

  • Chocolate bar is an effing puddle of goo

  • Had to hail a cab ride home!

  • My CPU and keyboard got to feel the release of my wrath when it didn't wanna startup

  • And finally, after exactly 30 minutes at home.. the assholes from Celcom figured they should actually PROCESS the godforsaken smses I sent earlier!

Happy fucking Singles Awareness Day to you!!!!

Everyone please pray for Hyoshin!

27a4b1277e7e_cpflqpflekfr

I remember finding news about my hubby and a loooot of money. Finally some light (as in translations) has been shed on the legal war between Park Hyoshin and his recording company, InterStage. Months of suffering under constant pressure and drudgery has amounted to nothing, not even sympathy, but a shocking move by InterStage to further humiliate the harassed singer.

Excerpts from several news reports:
"On Jan. 31, InterStage filed a $3 million [note: 3억원] law suit against Park Hyo
Shin to make up for the 'loss in profit' due to a breach in contract."

"The management company erroneously accuses Park Hyo
Shin of a breach in contract without looking at their poor treatment of
their artist... Of course, the 'heartless' Interstage company did not see a bed-ridden star as a human being in need of care but rather a 'profit loss'."

From fans' comments:
"Anyways, on 28th concert, he did not say much but sang the songs, then
he said he has a lot on his mind and wants to say so much that he
better not start, and that THEY are here at the concert. Well, THEY
meant Hyo Shin's recording company's heads and staffs, who were
controlling what he can or cannot do... Around the end of the concert, he finally broke down and just cried,"

Ok. WTF?! They exhausted him to death and now they want him to pay 3 FUCKING billion won for their loss?

AAAAAAARRGGGHHH!!!!!! Those fucktards! How dare they do this to him?!

Go here to read the extended report at ShenYuePop! and the news which can also be found here and here. Naver has been sprouting a lot of reports, but I guess they're about the same. This link here shows a fancam where he cried during the concert.

Furthermore, I'm still damn pissed off at why he didn't win anything for Breeze of Sea. C'mon~ that's easily the most effing beautiful album from 2007!

Debu Note [SMAPxSMAP]

Boooo~ I couldn't follow Kak Bailah and Farah to Pavilion today (they went to eat ddukbogi). It's a good thing I decided to go home after lunch at Saji with the CinemaOnliners. Because my stomachache got worse... 물똥했어요. I shyte-ed like never before T_T

A bad day it has been for me it was. This and the booking error boo-boo that SERIOUSLY scared the shyte out of me. Pun intended. Mr Chan and Encik Naza, you are my saviours ♥.

Enough of the shyte talk, aight?

My colleague, Ria, insisted us to watch this "Death Note" parody. The interviewer is Kusanagi Tsuyoshi ("The Sinking of Japan") and I took a long time to figure who the fat kid was. After Googling it turned out to be.... Goro Inagaki! If you don't remember him, he's the kuku besi sensei that wanted to expel Nakatsu in "HanaKimi".

Anyhoo, GONG HEI FATT CHOY to my beloved friends and dear readers!

Smeared with (chocolate) cake

Thanks to Nwar for highlighting this most recent issue among concerned local bloggers. I'm amazed why it hasn't spread like wildfire yet.

The government's campaign to encourage literacy in our beloved country has unfortunately allowed numbskulls to cash-in on the "Celeb Writer" status through cheap publicity. By (allegedly) plagiarising someone else's work.

Read this fascinating entry from Jannah Raffali's blog. There are other blogs discussing the Hudson Boo-Boo (I prefer it as The Hudson Conspiracy) which can be linked from the site.

Ah, such a delicious morsel to feed to the entertainment industry's gossip-mongers. Kek Coklat, anyone?
