I Yield For Moon

Welcome to my nearly last post *puts on fake smile*. Mwahah. I'm fickle, just like that.

The Moon I am relinquishing my finale to is none other than Moon Bloodgood (Hi Ah Moon, she's got your name!), star of the upcoming movies Terminator Salvation and Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li.

YouTube has a collection of a KBS documentary on her. It's KBS weh, you can expect the chockful of boring narrations so just skip to parts with her and her family.

Go here for part 1 and then continue on the others la hor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQQ6OsyJdCY&feature=related

The pretty lass is of mixed Korean and Dutch lineage, a fact I stumbled upon after watching the now defunct TV series Journeyman (showed on TV2).

Could there be a chance that she'd be close acquaintances to either Joon Park's family or them YG boys' families?

(Probably) The Last Post for 2008

Lol. The above would only be applied if I'm too lazy to write anything between Monday and Wednesday. As of right now pun aku dah penat gile b*** after draining my physical and mental energy in running my uncle's wedding.

Biasalah family aku ni, kalau bab wedding functions for sure akan berpenat lelah do almost everything by ourselves. The past few days I was assisting my younger sister Oja set up the pelamin, then cleaning up the badminton court (waterjet ops) and then clearing up my bedroom. Wah lau weh, long time I never see my room this clean wan!

My duty today, apart from helping Oja, was essentially to take care of the goodie bags. Mana tau kena lari sana-sini jugak mengecheck whether the F&B is enough/refillled. Alhamdulillah, I can already see my younger cousins, nephews and nieces start helping us out since they are typically the duduk-goyang-kaki types unless someone pushes them. Mwahah soon I can goyang my kaki.

Today also happens to be Aish's engagement day! Wooo nasib baik Pak Mi's event ended sharp-sharp at 3.30pm, enabling me to run off to her house. Timing yang cukup baek punye, tengok2 Aizudin's family pun baru sampai rumah dia. Safe! Congratulations, Aish! See, I told you guys Aishah would be first. Heheh :D

Half a Century of Grime

Add 50 years' worth of oil spills, dirt and moss together and you will get the dirtiest pavement ever.

The blackened stone pavement in our front yard gave way under the relentless pressure of my dad's Bosch water jet. Yikes. I never knew (cause I can hardly remember) the pavement was THAT light coloured!

Please don't mind this post. This was my family's best entertainment of the day on our first official start to setting up Pak Mi's wedding reception (which falls on Sunday).

And oh, let's not forget to wish a joyful Merry Christmas to all my Christian friends/colleagues and also a great holiday to those not celebrating. My brother's already on leave until next year (so unfair) but I'll be back in the office on the 30th :)

An Epiphany

Gee whiz. If only my wishful trip to Tokyo next year could be postponed.

Apparently, Sugizo's recent Dec 19 gig at Shibuya-AX will be released as a *BLEEP*ing DVD.

Which costs a staggering RM300!! Pfffffft. Eh ok lah, at least it's cheaper than Shinhwa's half-a-grand price tag.

After rolling around on my bed, kicking off whichever pillow (and blankie) nearest to my foot - I realised that Lady Luck has decided to be kind to me.

There's absolutely no reason for me to hate myself any further because... *kisses Sugi-chan* Region 2! Never before have I loved the existense of region 2.

Anyways, can't wait to get my grubby lil hands on the concert footage.

Powerless to...

... Start my damn pc.

I think this is the 3rd time I've replaced the power supply. Flunky lil thing. GRRR.

Should I just buy a new CPU? It's already so friggin' hard to look for the suitable power unit to fit into that tight hole of a case. GRRR.

Moneyhmoneyhmoneyh!

Anyhoooooo I'm off to shop for new sneakers tomorrow to ganti my unfortunate brown shoes yang kena kencing dek kucing jantan sial. GRRR.

Misguided S.O.B.

I so wish that the pot of leprechaun gold won't be at the end of their rainbow. Because it would be an insult to us fans (neutral and hardcore alike) to have scum as them him, the head honcho of Pop Rainbow, to become Malaysia's representative for the K-ent industry.

If he thinks his 'holier than thou' act will reach out to the masses even after degrading his future clients in public... then he's seriously more whacked up than that Kpop Kingdom Tyrant Queen.

Her, I can stand. Adrian and Mina, I can still understand.

But a loser punk who banks on his so-called 'artiste' status but has absolutely no grace and PR skills to begin with?

Of course some things can't be judged by that single slip of bad manners. Yet to see him being so rude in a public forum which can be viewed by an assorted bunch of people in the Kpop world just spells how plain arrogant he is.

Yeesh. And the people who work for him?? Are they even using their brains?

Ya Allah, thank you for blessing me with wonderful and sensible friends. I sure wouldn't want to be with these blinded fools.

Bidding Game

Lelong.com.my is highly addictive. I think I spent the previous 2 hours just browsing through their Closing Today list for any interesting items. Ooh there's this one pretty Anna Sui purse that's ending soon (but could be cheaper at Giant KJ). Tempting. Soooo tempting. But nah.

TWO reasons stopping me from bidding/buying those are:

1. The sellers don't accept bank in transfers.

2. I know I damn well don't have money to splurge.

Tralala~ *pats purse* Sigh. So I shall patiently wait til the closing day of that faux Prada bag I'm eyeing.

Hunger Pang @ 1.30am

Gah. Too lazy to brave myself for a midnight trip to the kitchen. I wish I had bought more Tako Tao if I knew I was going to get hungry again.

Nak jimat duit, but we'll see lah if I can avoid the supermarket area -_-;

I'm supposed to make another visit to 1U to exchange today's - last night's - newly purchased trousers (which is 1 size too big). I had stupidly grabbed the wrong pair. Ciskek.

The prospect of having to travel via public transport to that human-congested-mall ALONE ON A SUNDAY is terrible.

Maybe I'll stock up my SE with Danger Gang and Jinkaku Radio songs as my teman.

Get Out! Really?

What a joyful day, month, YEAR to see Pop Rainbow painted in their own worthless bullshit since they had never been supportive of us either way. Man, I still remember that Sarah woman boasting about how she could've run a BETTER event than the Kangta & Vanness fanmeeting in 2006.

Eat back your own shit, bitch. Click here to read about the Paran show 'postponement'. Whatever the hell that means.

And awww I feel bad how fans tend to feel sad about that whole Paran & FTI thing.

Well too bad! Get a spine and cease your pointless whining. Go organise your own goddamn event. Typical bitches who've never even worked their asses off.

I hate how those snobs insert phrases like "..they're ruining our image.." and "..they make Malaysians look bad.."

A little support and respect for your fellow Malaysians (who sold their souls to the Devil to bring Kpop here) would've helped better than bitching 24/7 about it. Ingrates. SO MANY FUCKING INGRATES IN MALAYSIA!!

One Whack and K.O.!

@&$&%@@&%$$@$^%@$%@#&$

Wargh! I must de-stress! De-stress!! DE-STRESSSS!!!!!

As if today wasn't hectic enough, she just had to blast me over something as trivial as ONE goddamn typo! I know it was my mistake, but can't you be a bit more understanding instead of condemning ET's - my hardwork?! If my QC was so horrible, I'd have purposely not triple checked it before sending it out to you ingrates. It's human error la stupid! Makcik tu sendiri pun banyak kali salah sebelum ni, it's just that all her employees are afraid to tegur her.

This babi hutan is memang one super-old-unsatisfied-anak-dara-tua who is well reknowned for her kuku besi ways. Damn ruined my day man. So fuck her. Fuck the world. I ain't gonna dwell on this anymore.

Lebih baik aku layan Shinhwa DVD!

Short Holiday

Yo. Back from Malacca I am. And I've got a throbbing headache after walking in the rain from Pudu to S&M. It was either that or because I inhaled too much carbon monoxide. *massages temples*

Can't think of anything to say about Hyoshin's project album yet. Other than it's a relief to hear him crooning happy songs, the truncated samples don't leave a lot of room for speculation. I'll just wait for the release then...

Anyway, Melaka trip pics will be up next weekend (sorry, no time to transfer them). I was too young when I first visited the historical city so it was great to be able to see them now. Pretty amazing stuff. Nyeh, we didn't go on Eye On Melaka since it was damn pricey leh. wtf.

Got my cd cupboard rearranged to squeeze in my new purchases: Densha Otoko, What's Up Fox and Minwoo's Explore M (FINALLY!). Hell I don't know when I'll be able to watch those but just in case la hor.

Hyoshin's Project Album

Ok, I am so in a rush right now before I leave for Melaka (Grace's wedding).

Tak sempat nak download Hyoshin's tv appearance-slash-comeback but I did succeed to save audio rips of the samples from naver.

Kore wa Download rinku desu. Click-u kudasai.

Have fun over the weekend, I'll be back on Sunday to add my feedback on the album.

Oh and btw, Happeh Belated Birthday to Dongwan!! Tak menyempat jugak nk wish him yesterday. Guh.

Longing

My baby's gone off to army...

Itsuka dokoka no sora no shita de mata aou.
(Let’s meet again under the sky, some time, somewhere)

Ryuichi's words tear my heart into pieces. I know it's needless to say 'Goodbye' and weep all day long for someone you're about to half-lose. But for my hubby, who would instead be pained if fans crumble, I fortify my promise of undying loyalty and to live my life to the fullest. Eventhough I may stray you know that after 2 years (or 4 years, if you insist) I'll still be here for you, 동완이오빠. 기다릴게!

Please don't worry yourself too much over nicks and scratches. And I hope you get wonderful bunkmates so you wouldn't unnecessarily fuss over things. :D

Well hey, I'm devoid of tears right now. Can't squeeze out any tearduct juice. I am apparently still... in denial.

Not even this below picture of Shinhwa together could induce any sob.

[caption id="attachment_844" align="aligncenter" width="472" caption="^ Shinhwa"]Shinhwa's Final Dinner with KDW in 2008[/caption]

I'm like more of nosebleeding over the fact that Minwoo (?) is wearing a Rokkasho tee *points to green 'More Trees Less Nuke' t-shirt* by the tree-huggers-movement in which Sugizo is actively participating in. Ah!

*slaps self for being jaded* Anyhoo~ Maybe the acceptance will gradually wash over me. In due time. Oh well, I think I shall go watch that Can't Forget MV for a coupla days to get the fact into my thick skull.

Yet Another Yaoi Pairing

Sorry about this, I couldn't resist posting another yaoi-esque vid. I just finished watching 'Alexander' (yes, that 2004 film) and I've been happily trolling around on the Net for Colin Farrell x Jared Leto sleaze materials.

So I'm sharing this beautifully made fan-made music video. Kinda puts you into mind of that infamous SungTa fanvid. *wink wink*

Hey, what can I say? I love Hoobastank's 'Reason' and Jared is just awesomely droolworthy .

(Damn, if only I'd seen the movie BEFORE Jared came here for MAA)

New Pairing: YasuXHyde

Puahahaha! Click on the Up Arrow button on bottom-right of the player and then 'Show Captions'.

Acid Black Century?? Haido-san sure is oblivious.

But man, this stuff is laden with shounen-ai. *hugs Yasu-ni*

Accursed Pairing

Ugh! Curse you, Kubo-sama! Curse you for that blasted last panel in Chapter 333!

The GinRan suspense angst is killing meh!!

November VK Reviews

Oops. I haven't listened to Wheesung's album yet. A certain album below totally made me forget.

Title: MUSIC
Band: girugamesh
Verdict: 3 stars. It was great on its first couple of runs. But heavy repeating mashes the metal-loveliness into a pile of same-nothings cos the usage of techno-jumble in almost all the friggin tracks is overshadowing the drums and riffs. My advice? Pick a few favourites and just stick to that.
Go for: 'puzzle', 'ISHTAR', 'enishi'. Er yeah, basically the last 3 songs are the most worthy ones.

Title: モノクロのキス (Monokuro no Kiss)
Band: SID
Verdict: 3.5 stars. SID's pretty consistent with their brand of ballads. Tho I'm too much of an RES fan to be enamoured with this for too long. I like SID's heavier self compared to this 'going nowhere' kind of pace. Anyhow, I can still accept them for what they are.
Go for: 'season'. a soft 'sway in the breeze' summer song to lift your mood.

Title: 逢いたいから.... (Aitai Kara…)
Band: 12012
Verdict: 3.5 stars. EH? A ballad?! So I didn't guess correctly from the name. I didn't know they can do this genre. Surprise, surprise: It's nice! A little bit of GLAY that I cannot for the love of God remember any title to name of. Yuuwake? Be.. er, Be... Oh forget about it. All joking aside, they may be experimenting around considering how young they are.
Go for: 'HERO'. Seriously. Why am I again reminded of GLAY??

Title: UROBOROS *AWEFUCKINGSOME*
Band: Dir en grey
Verdict: 5 stars. THIS is what I've been waiting for them to do. Not making shitty albums like 'Withering to Death' and 'Marrow of a Bone'. It's a new brand of desolate mellowness so diverse and righteous that you'd just fall down to your knees and weep. And please don't tell me 'Ware, Yami Tote' and 'Inconvenient Ideal' wasn't reminiscent of Luna Sea to you too.
Go for: 'Gaika, Chinmoku ga Nemuru Koro', 'Toguro', 'GLASS SKIN' Japanese version, 'DOZING GREEN'.

+ Bonus review:

Title: 碧の大地-アヲノダイチ- (Ao no Daichi) *HOT*
Band: Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGoD
Verdict: 4 stars. Finally, kohais that I would love to see making it big. Very late 80's influenced. They're really good on the heavies and the mellows.
Go for: Haten daishishi and Kijin Fukanshou just for the sing-songy guitars.

Bitter Reminder

Tried so hard to avoid any 'news' about the Kpop concert in Singapore this week. Little did I know that I'm not even safe at work.

Ada la pulak showtimes for KFF (Korean Film Festival) running in conjuction with the festival.... Celaka.

November VK Heavyweights

I'm on a rrrroll. 4 new releases from my favourite bands (well, except Diru lah). Mwahahah.

My house is packed with relatives, can't listen to 'em right now. So expect these reviews, sorted by listening order, up by next week:
  1. girugamesh - MUSIC [Album 2008.11.05]

  2. SID - Monokuro no Kiss [Maxi-single 2008.10.29]

  3. 12012 - Aitai kara... [Maxi-single 2008.10.29]

  4. Dir en grey - UROBOROS [Album 2008.11.12]

Aaaand let's not forget Nwar's hubby:

Wheesung - With All My Heart and Soul [Mini Album 2008.10.29]

Damn I hope Wheesung's new album is good. I'm still miffed over Jong Gook's - which was bland like stale bread.

Jelly Octopus Legs (and Hands)

Okaaaay I so need to cleanse my mind with some of Se7en's Japan stint now. Can't shake the feeling that I saw a few 'borrowed' moves in Arashi's Around Asia concert.

Seeing the Arashi boys wiggle and bop is not too bad for this jaded self but I mostly avoided The Sotong and focused on Sho (SO DAMN KAKKOI!) and Ohno (Ooh la la!). Aiba's face sorta reminds me of Hyesung probably due to his hair. Er, but that's about it lah. No one can compare to Shinhwa oppas mar. Bwahaha.

I actually recognised about a quarter of the tracklist ^^;; Which eventually got stuck in my head then had me humming to them even when I went into the toilet. Hence the brainwashing.

Anyhoo, Se7en's US singles sound... good. For Americanised Kpop songs. They're a liiiiiitle meek than any other typical R&B you get out of the States in this decade. Who knows? Maybe he can make it. I hope he does. Especially because he's venturing into the US market.

Although before that, I would like to bitchslap those people who whine about Se7en's change of musical styles in these 2 songs. Hello?? Stop being so self-absorbed, you prigs. Whatever kind of music from Asia have never crossed into the US very well since they can't fully accept other cultures too different than their culture (or you might say, popculture). It's common sense. What is accepted in one popculture isn't always what is considered normal in another popculture.

Masuk kandang kambing mengembek, masuk kandang harimau... kena baham lah.

Attitude Gets You Nowhere

I hate being under pressure. But at least after taking a direct shot from the Big Kahuna (*urk*), the work does get done. Eventually. Yeah, I know my leadership abilities suck.

But damn the shittiest of all hells for this horrible day today. It's just so hard to work with difficult people (I know coz I myself am a pain to my bosses). But wtf lah if your own team member doesn't understand or appreciate the team. C'mon man, think about us also mar!

I seldom get snarky or verbally lash at my colleagues but I seriously broke my first record lah today. Heck, what would you have done if your male colleague starts mumbling under his breath and pays no heed to words of advise your senior or manager gives?

My short temper was triggered as he talked back to Kak Bailah when she asked him why he still had unfinished work at 7 o'clock in the evening. Which HELLLLOOOO showtimes is bloody serious business which should've already been settled by then so why the hell couldn't he think we were worried?!

We assumed that the showtimes were done and we were all ready to go home. The most COURTEOUS thing he could've done was to TELL us EARLIER that his part wasn't finished yet. Then we could've gotten down and finish the damn job together so we could ALL go back faster. That's what a team does dammit!!

His issue was simple. He didn't let anyone know he was struggling with it. ALWAYS update the team because no matter what, whatever pile of shit you did wrong will inevitably become OUR pile of shit too. So when you get scolded, you FIND a way to resolve it.

No way was he supposed to treat us like shit. No way in fucking hell was he allowed to show attitude then get up and leave the office with us gaping there staring at his abrupt dismissal of responsibility!

So it's OUR problem that we scold him for not telling us? So it's OUR problem for waiting and expecting something we THOUGHT was done?

Grow a conscience, dude. People work under pressure and strive to succeed. We don't try to dig ourselves into an even bigger abyss.

Dangerously Lame

Just got back from Bangkok Dangerous preview screening. Damn bodoh lorh. All the sweat and tears brought out for the banners are pretty much valueless lah. Seriously wtf.

Kak Bailah, Moon and Lyndy had more fun vandalising the invitation passes than the whole movie.

Fortunately, there is good news! Farah tells me that there's a photo contest for Dongwan's single. Winners get to be on his jacket book! EEK 0_o!

Bystanders

W.T.F.

Seriously loh. I don't wanna start hating my life again, but sooner or later it's bound to happen if this continual bitterness of what-could-haves and what-should-haves won't cease.

Are our innocent lives and fate so strongly tied/chained to Kpop that we can't even untangle ourselves from it? At a time when we're struggling to protect our souls from becoming further jaded, the truth lashes back at us.

How pitiful that the success of others is so quickly in the here and now, then it adds salt to injury and taunts us to relive the pain. Pain caused by a foolish and broken dream that haunts us wherever we go.

It's already been decided by God, it seems. The future will thrive with the rising opportunities spread open like a buffet for them.

Our punishment for being too presumptuous is that it's going to be a future without us. No choice left but to endure the things we will never have.

Goodbye, Green Angsa

Didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him or to take for-old-times-sake worth of photos. This morning when my dad sent me to Tmn Jaya, he didn't tell me oso. *smacks self for being ignorant*

8 tahun dia telah berkongsi hidup bersama keluargaku. *sniff* We all went through a lot together. Masa dia mula-mula join family aku, niat dia mulia.. Dia lah yang banyak membantu kitorang masa keadaan Mama yang baru kena strok. Pastu bila Kakak pulak start beranak-pinak, memang elok bangat dia ada time tuh. You imagine lah now the beban it carried in our family.

Pergh. Distance was a small matter to us then. Our first official trip was to Penang, sending me off to matriculation college. Where else? Bawak ke Kelantan, bawak ke Ganu, Perak, Kedah, Pahang, Johor... Haa mana je kitorang tak bawak dia? Owh tapi Perlis takde eh. Takde can la dia sekarang.

Hijau dia tu dah sinonim gila dengan keluarga Pak Teh. Siapa tak kenal Angsa nih dari jauh dengan black bar dia? Lagi-lagi dengan ngaum dia, from afar can recognise oredi. Haaa begitu hebat peranan dia. Eventhough jiran lorong sebelah pun ada angsa yang sama kaler, you are still the best.

Sigh. Eventhough there aren't many pictures of your external body in our photo library, you shall remain embedded in the hearts of - 2, 4, 6, 8, ... 15! Fifteen of us. Thank you! I hope your next cycle of life will be good~

Persistently Biased

Maaaaybe going into Soompi today was a bad idea. Why?

I stumbled into the Boys Over Flowers thread... And am now far from feeling elated or keen to see my favouritest manga be hacked and slashed into yet another alternate universe plotline.

Meteor Garden was bleh - dismissable storyline and godawful acting. Although that version was the starting point of my F4 infatuation, the drama seriously got on my nerve.

And eventhough HanaDan the dorama changed a lot of major details especially regarding characters from the original comic, they stayed close to the ending. WHICH IS GOOD!

Call me bias, but I'm so not seeing Goo Hyesun fitting in the mold of tomboyish and kickass Tsukushi (made excellent by Mao-chan, btw). The boys are a mixture of bleh and 'ok-lah', with the most eyerolling done over the casting of Rui. It's too bad I'm a bad nuna to DoubleS, Hyunjoong may very well be unsafe from my scrutiny.

I guess the saving grace to this drama would be Kim Bum (who is a great actor) as Nishikado and the Koreans' ability to tell a story as close to real life as possible.

Uh oh oh wait, from coolsmurf's article here, God knows what the Koreans will inflict this time around now if they're not actually following the original arc. wtf. Why use the name at all? Why go through all the trouble?? Hmf.

All in all, this is a sad case of high expectation, no? 2 more months for unjustified bashing ranting because it'll open sometime in December or early 2009. We'll just have to wait and see.

OK, that's all folks. Thank you for reading this much needed bashing ranting post. *skips off to re-read HanaDan the manga*

Of Friendship, Love and Sacrifice

Today I experienced my first campur tangan in another person's love life. Spending time talking openly about another couple's issues feels surreal. Brings to mind all that Hollywood stuff we get stuffed with about how bestfriends stick up for each other to hantam the boyfriend for a misdeed.

It sure seemed like some drama with me there trying not to sound vindictive and snarky. You know how emotive I get, right? So while the guy rattled on and on about how he's 'trying' to make things right, I let Aishah do the talking. Because somehow I felt horrible how the conversation made me have doubts in how I view my own relationship with Jerry. I'm a terrible friend. I don't know why you people put up with me :S

Don't know if the outcome of our 2 hour talk does manage to protect and salvage their relationship or not. I just hope nothing bad happens. But damn, men sure know how to talk big, don't they?

Hey Jerry, please take extra care of yourself. Come back soon, okay? Luv ya forever and ever.

Salam Raya

I fell asleep yet again on my keyboard. Hence the utter plainness of this Raya greeting. <_<

This all due to exhaustion from work (I pity Roy for getting dumped with my load) and delayed withdrawal from yesterday's siaoness with the girls (Happy Birthday, Mish! Hope you like my gift).

So I snored through sahur and I seriously can't remember hearing the alarm! And now I'll be balik-ing kampung on an empty stomach!

EID MUBARAK! :D

Rebranding

Jimi said a couple of weeks ago that Versailles were dealing with some issues about their name cos it's currently being used by an American band. And that it would cause major setbacks if they decide to hit the US market. So back then Kamijo wanted to rename themselves to Versailles Japan *rolls eyes*

Now they're going to be known as Versailles - Philharmonic Quintet. Humakaih panjang benor. Shall I call them Versailles P.Q.? or V.P.Q? Guess I'll just stick to Versailles, then. So what lar with that American group.

At least the name's not as long as 'shinko shukyo gakudan NoGoD' (新興宗教楽団NoGoD).

Anyways, their latest single loosk promising.

Gah. So lazy ler to go work. <-- Stressed out due to organising my workload for others.

SMK (L) Abingdon

Before I start with the review, let me borrow a word from DiGi's advertisements: FUIYOH! Oh man, that's the best expression I can come up with to describe how incredible this darned concert is. You simply can NOT not enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes of sublime awesomeness by these four men regardless whether you've heard their songs or no.

[caption id="attachment_530" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="(L-R) SUNAO, Takanori, Kishi, Shibasaki"][/caption]

The DVD covers their final Zepp Tokyo performance interspersed with cut scenes from other concert venues so prepare to be wowed out of your socks. The segmenting between songs change are smooth, the setting is plain and simple with only a huge backdrop of their insignia, there's numerous camera pan-ins on the whole stage and the crazy audience, and then there's the band themselves!

Takanori is an amazing vocalist and a capable MC who can throw a really good rock concert. He has fun screaming, jumping and dancing around throughout the performance and seldom hits a wrong note. He runs out of breath during 'LOST REASON' but picks up quickly after that.

[caption id="attachment_531" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="SUNAO embodies raw power and is responsible for the edgy riffs"]SUNAO embodies raw power[/caption]

SUNAO and Shibasaki bring the heavies notably on 'HOWLING', 'NERVOUS BREAKDOWN' and 'Fre@k Show'. Shibasaki is justified as the better guitarist (eh since he wrote most of the tracks) but he falters quite a bit on his leads and loses his stamina nearing the second half. SUNAO then takes up the lead as his songs are slotted towards the end. Pretty balanced tracklist.

[caption id="attachment_532" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Shibasa injects complex fingerworkin' into his songs"]Shibasaki injects complex fingerworkin' into his songwriting[/caption]

Leader-san Kishi is the brain of the band (Takanori is the heart, of course) and holds his presence strong on the techno & piano parts. I especially love his intro on 'Via Dolorosa' and bridge on my favouritest song, 'DESIRE'.

[caption id="attachment_534" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Dancing and swaying to their infectious music"]Dancing and swaying to their infectious music[/caption]

The encore is finally saved for Buck-Tick's and Luna Sea's covers. Omg 'Sweetest Coma Again'... They just made me severely rethink that LS song. Heheh. Well, there's no part of this concert that anyone can hate. They are just so damn good at this, even with it being their first official tour. Built from a background of experienced musicians, I'd say they are ridiculously too humble for their own good!

[caption id="attachment_535" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Say goodbye to diva S.K.I.N and kowtow to the masters!"]Say goodbye to diva S.K.I.N - Kowtow to the masters![/caption]

Oh! The English dubbed documentary, which is only available with the limited release, shows the backstage clips of the quartet. Endless funnies courtesy of Takanori and Shibasa. Apparently TAKUYA∞ from UVERworld was the rap substitute in 'LOST REASON' at other concert venues while MICRO only came in for this Tokyo leg.

Raya 'Preparation'

Shiet. One more week before I go on leave. And I've got less than 5 days to train my team members to cover my workload during my holiday. Baru lah aku merasa stress menge-pass keje dekat orang lain. Nampak sangat selama ni aku monopolise, ek? Oops!

*writes down items on list* BMS, GSCmovies updates, Imax updates, CO coding... $^%&@%#^%$%@

Gawd, I hope my load will be lighter soon. Although... after my recent 'good fortune' looks like I'll be picking up more 'senior' duties *hint hint*. And this means I really have to start ironing out my financial issues (or lack of it due to nonexistent planning).

Ooh I see Noviar commented on my blog! Heheh. Apa khabar, pakcik? Tarikh wedding bile ek?

An update about my entry on Friends For Sale, because Nov just only read it:

Apparently I was VERY lazy to spam them as promised. Eventually those good-for-nothings have stopped bugging me. Hmm. Ignoring them seem to be right thing to do, after all. So now I have my freeeeedooooom and I am currently owned again by my friends. Heh. :P

Love Love Miya

I know I should be rewatching abs concert for that long overdue review, but couldn't stop myself from watching Mucc's Ageha DVD special vid.

PUAAAHAHAHAHA. It is so friggin hilarious! Bravo to the 3 monkeys (headed by Yukke, as expected) for trapping the 'forever serious' leader-san into this gag.

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQIAKMaaj6E&feature=related

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IXLcmTgIG8&feature=related

Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4WQMoVUR-E&feature=related

Don't even need to understand what they're saying because Miya's facial expression is simply priceless (he can still be calm in that kinda situation??). *smacks the smexy smexy man* <33

RES Disbanding!

Rentrer en Soi will be officially disbanding in October after a tour promoting the release of their future (final) mini album T____T

Received an update from FB's RES group just now and thought it was a rumour but then I double checked at jrocknyc. And AAARGH!! WHY?!

They were soooooo good, in terms of pre-Maggots-Dir-en-grey goodness. Ok so I haven't really followed their lives very close but I still love their music! This is like Pierrot breaking up all over again. *wails*

Raya Shoppin'

Shopping bags from PKNS Shah Alam

My head was still spinning from last night's caffeine overdose and lack of sleep (Happy Birthday, Aish~ Hope you like my measly gifts!) and my computer's seriously sick after it got hit by worms and spywares, but my plan has to be set into motion anyway. Whew. Finally got meself some new baju kurungs and bling. YAY! :D

Tadi pagi-pagi ler kite ni pon keluar pegi bershopping ajak mak and kakak. Aha mak oii. Bukannye pegi KL nun, tau la cemane Jln TAR pada hari publik public holiday haa kannn... Instead we went to PKNS Shah Alam which was blissfully sparse of humanoids at 10.30 in the morning. Huu.

Lepas ni I wanna go shop for shirts pulak. And perhaps a sandal. Somehow, sometime. Eep.

*counts my moneyh* Harap2 cukup untuk ditabung.

Switch

Ugh. I lost all my review and book listings from the old blog settings. Now that Friendster blog has changed it's domain, I'll probably have a hard time warming up to this.

Damn. Sure wish they gave out a warning or somewhat <_<

Tak Menyempat

Ngh. I only just realised that my abs Japan Concert torrent is DONE but I can't watch it now because I'm too sleepy and I need to have enough 'shutdown' hours in order to wake up at 6 o'clock which would mean I'll have to wait 3 days to actually see it... *whines*

Once I get back from Singapore, I swear I'm going to rush straight home. Please wait for meh, abingdon boys school!

Die Racist Faggots!

I don't know how I suddenly got into a tug-of-war at FB's Friends For $ale - between a couple of mentally ill mat sallehs bent on slandering Muslims by spreading their so called Christian dakwah through the application.

Friendsforsale1

About a week ago, I realised they went and changed my status in the page to 'Jesus Loves Her'.

They keep buying me over and over again when somebody else buys me away. So I can hardly get my nickname safely changed back to what it was when they're having this sick little game.

Friendsforsale2

This is the ugly mug of the dude who has a twisted sense of 'spreading his believes' and the one who gave me the nickname.

Friendsforsale3

This is the kid who bought me over from the first dude. Is it even his real face? Not sure if these guys really exist or just 'em fake accounts.

Thinking I could delete them and all my record from the app, I removed Friends For Sale and added it back in. But no such luck for me, because all my info is still there.. and I'm still owned by those crazy people.

So rather than staying the meek little Muslim who gets stepped on, I am going to start fighting them by using their own method. I'll be spamming their wall with MY dakwah on a daily basis (if I have the time lar) until they get bored of me.

Friendsforsale4

Bloody ass wipes!

Hyoshin Is Loved

I stop analysing my IMEEM statistics for more than 3 months and look what happens. *points at the total number of hits*

Imeemphsplaylist080810v2

Wow. My playlist jumped from a few hundred to ONE THOUSAND! I'm such a happy little fangirl right now that I might decide to rip some live videos to add into the list and I'm not even gonna brag about being top search for Hyoshin-y music (which I painstakingly uploaded by myself).

Er... right. Me? Not brag?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm #1 *wooot*!! Nyek nyek nyek xDD

Back!

I'm running away from Facebook for the moment because apparently I have 100 over photo notifications. Ah. So many MAA pictures to look and comment at :S

Nothing spectacular to update other than the Genting trip.

I'll be uploading my photos from Genting up here too... soon. Yeah well, they're just pics of a bunch of us going crazy. Didn't even manage to catch a glimpse of Super Junior since my invitation was only to the Live Screening and not the event itself. ^^;; Anyway, I don't consider myself a kipas-susah-mati anymore these days...

Did everyone watch the Olympics Opening Ceremony last night? There was already a massive jam at 6pm as people were in a rush to reach home before it started. No thanks to RTM1, who bombarded the whole opening ceremony with stupid adverts, I missed a lot of the nicer segments. But the torch-lighting segment was awesome!

What was that thing I heard about Hankyung bearing the torch? Pfft. Right. *rolls eyes*

To My Archangel

Happeh belated birthday to my dear (3rd) ex-husband whom I still love with all my heart and soul: SUGIZO!

I haven't been sharing his songs much with any of you lot on Friendster, because I've somehow been afraid of how you would accept his type of music... Sure, I spazz a lot about Gazette and MUCC and Yasu *wipes drool* and even Abingdon Boys School. I even chucked Hyde for him. Lolz. (Thank God I did, cos Hyde's such a disgrace now)

Ls_prev_02But not one of them can come close to the sheer magnificence of this man. Yeah so his niche is electronica, big deal. It doesn't matter to me in what way he reaches out to people.

It's his humbleness (uh ok so he only changed his attitude after Luna was born), his joie de vivre, his love for life and how he sees goodness in a world so bleak.

Viva Sugizo-san! So let me spread his infectious loving with a few of my most favourite songs (which I think everyone can accept and will love):

Birthday Shout-backs

Everyone told me to have a great time. So I did. By watching 'The Dark Knight' THREE times within 11 days. A sorta birthday treat for myself, ya know?

Well. Twenty five. That's me. Another one bites the dust.

Not surprisingly, I don't feel any older. Although I have been yaking on and on about gaining another digit. But being surrounded by so many people that I love certainly doesn't compel me to become ashamed of what I've achieved (so far) at my age.

Let's not get too sappy with the thank you speech, Arfah! Here goes nothing: Thanks to all my wacky friends who still love me during my craziness, to my two BFF who understands me the most, to my family for throwing a humble surprise party (who thought I wasn't too old for this?) and to all of you who sent smses and wishes!

It's Spanish Not Latin, Es Stupido

Hah. I just read someone's bulletin in which that person thought 'Sí' (which stands for 'Yes') is in Latin. C'mon people! I don't wanna be a meanie here but, that word is actually in Spanish while Latin was the language spoken in ancient Italy. Learn your languages and world cultures correct, aight?

*sigh* The weekend has come and gone. So what did I accomplish?

Nada. Because I didn't manage to go watch The Dark Knight again yesterday. My plan to join the girls was thwarted on Saturday morning when my sister sent an sms to remind me that I am (forced) to go to a musical theatre entitled "Forever Plaid" with my parents and her. She'd already requested (aka dictated) to me last Monday since she received free invites from school and I very stupidly thought that she wasn't serious. Foreverplaid
I said "See You Later" to Christian 'Luscious' Bale and put on my moody mask to the play most of all because I was really exhausted after work. So I evilly conspired to sleep during the 1h+ plus show.

Weeell. I actually enjoyed the musical, didn't even felt sleepy. Although I did feel out of place - surrounded by the elderly and lots of current and former Assunta teachers, mind you - it was... quirkily entertaining and was a great exposure to what you call live stage acting/singing. A quartet of Yanks played by Britons? Now who would've thought they could pull it off so good? Lol.

Let Me Rephrase That...

Yeah twinnie, you had me thinking about my most repeatable Shinhwa song. I kinda felt guilty and tak puas hati for not having an absolute answer to it. However, setting out my mind by naming only one or two or more songs as my utmost forever-listenable-song and conforming to that fact would make me call myself a liar.

Hmm. Probable explanations to this would be that I can't think of any at that time. Or I couldn't remember the titles. Or I like too many to come up with a few without thinking rationally. Perhaps...

My best reason? I guess I've always been the sort of girl whom regularly flits from one artiste to the next too easily. My music is always in-the-moment, at-that-exact-moment and constant-listening-right-at-that-moment. I'll have a certain album/song/artiste that I'd like and I'd bury myself deep by frequently listening to only that obsession.

But when something else catches my fancy, then I'd as easily jump onto a different obsession. And maybe, maaaybe, all the songs that I like would be exchanged with another.

It takes a couple of reminiscing to finally get back into a certain moment. That's why you hear me say things like "I haven't been listening to them for a long time" which would then lead to "I feel like listening to them again" or "I feel like listening to their whole discography ALL OVER AGAIN!"

I'm really not kidding when I say I haven't been listening to any certain band for a LONG time. Coz I'd have been busy-ing myself with something other than Shinhwa... or Luna Sea. Or any other bands that I say I'm in love with. Har har.

Yet no matter what, these two bands affect me pretty differently from any other favourites. They'd still be the ones who can time-warp me back to that exact same moment when I first giddily heard their songs. ;)

Feeling Tag-ish

Bailah and Farah have finally seduced coerced me into watching "Zettai Kareshi" (Crunchyroll's a gem, I tell you). Since my hopes of borrowing twinnie's downloaded eps has dashed, here I am waiting for the second episode to load.

Seems like Mich has bestowed upon me an official position: H Institute Principal. But let's change it to Headmistress, aight? Principal is too American.

Hwa-Shin-Hwa

I didn't know Hyoshin sang the main ballad 'Hwashin' for Junki's new drama "Il Ji Mae"! *slaps myself for being a retard wifey* [And because I'm nice, LINKEU!]

But will this knowledge encourage me to watch the drama? Hmm... Maybe once the box-set is out. The last K-drama (which also happens to be a Junki starrer) is still unopened by the way. :S

*slaps myself again for drooling too much over White Edition pics* The website is up with preview pics. Can't wait to listen to their new R&B song :D

Oh, I dropped by YesAsia earlier to find out that Dongwan's 2nd album repackage preorder is now open. Aaaaaaaaahh!!! Moneyh moneyh moneyh. If myshinhwa is opening orders thru Yeonin again I might as well get 3 copies, ne, as the extra two will be for **** and ******. Hikhikhik.

Something's wrong with my connection tonight (>_<)~ Can't download a single thing in Firefox! Although IE gives me slightly better results if the filesize ain't huge. HUH. And here I was hoping to get to watch "Wanted" or "Get Smart" online.

A healthy dose of...

A healthy dose of vacation - that's what I'm badly in need of. As soon as my workload's been shuffled to juniors so I can get a bit off my shoulders (hopefully).

Been daydreaming of Europe for quite a few months. Although I should, honest to God, be saving up for Seoul instead of Paris or Vienna or Roma or Nice or London! Am nowhere near 3/4 of money for that trip. Guh.

I guess anywhere near and cheap(er) would suffice for now?
a. Singapore - sight-seeing since no time was spared during 2006 visit,
b. Jakarta - again, mostly sight-seeing and throw in a lil bit of shopping,
c. Bandung - the weather! cool temperature may help to shop wiser :P,
d. Kuching - just because I've not gone to Borneo before,
e. a train ride to Bangkok - if that's even possible,
f. Bangkok - last choice actually coz of the abundance of stray dogs >_

We're All In The Same Boat

Jess, Michele, Kak Bailah, Fel, Nwar and Tasha pointed out during Jzune's birthday party last night of how short a time since we met and then eventually becoming this close group of friends: give or take 2 years. Wow. It felt like we've known each other for far longer...

Jzune kinda opened my eyes yesterday when I saw how she was among her college friends. She was slightly different than how I've viewed her and apparently when she's around our group of 'Kpop friends' all this while. *sheepish smile*

It isn't exactly my first time encountering my friends' friends but I still feel awkward to find a mutual level of comfort with their friends. Although, this happens rather infrequently. Because naturally, to avoid misunderstandings and conflict of interests, you don't go around matching up a clique of close friends with another clique of close friends.

Do you? No? Somehow it's as if I'm hording vital information from all my friends by 'categorising' myself into separate molds whenever I switch between these different sides. At times I just prefer to be by myself than having to split my life and personality, in order not to favor too much to one group (so that the other group doesn't feel betrayed). Does this make me selfish?

By the way, please tell me that there is someone out there who is also annoyed that his/her Friendster login page now automatically loads in Bahasa Melayu. wtf.

Cascade

If only I could blame the kopi ais I had for lunch as the reason of my fucked up life.

Coffee kills my braincells, leaves me mentally imbalanced and physiologically burnt out. It sometimes causes me to become emotionally unstable (albeit agitated) where I could either turn hyper or spiral downwards into surliness.

I was already a tad moody because most of my work was still not settled. Then the bloody stuff wasn't doing what I wanted it to do (GRRR!!). I know it was obvious how it looked like I was ignoring him, eventhough I couldn't really process my thoughts properly when I'm an emotional wreck. Of course, I'm always skittish around him. But...

When it happened, I couldn't fathom his reaction much less his feelings to what I did. I just somehow felt how my callousness severed the invisible thread between us. That was when my system totally crashed down. Could barely think rationally after that.

Yeah, this is probably one of those rare days when I feel very bad for being a stuck-up bitch. But even so... Why do I care? Why? Why do you affect me so? How did you manage to get under my skin that quick?

As Dorky as They Can Be

Why are there no longer videos that show all six of them being dorks like this?

I miss seeing them in the same video together...

Tying My Stomach

I'm so hungry I want to cry T____T

I smsed my sister twice and caller her up to whine about the sad two pieces of bread that I had for 'lunch'.

The Secret Is...

Dongwan's diary entry just made my day. Granted, it was already a few days old but nothing will stop me from spazzing now. Mwahaha. I'm crediting this to shinhwa_daily.

[08.06.06][diary] Dongwan: About Shinhwa~

Do you know what's the question we hear the most when we get interviewed?
It's "What's the secret for Shinhwa's longevity?"..
Maybe, they don't understand.
Because friends who stay together and share such strong bonds,
They don't see that around them at least...
Actually Shinhwa doesn't have any secret to longevity to begin with.
We're just a few guys who want to be together.
We just want to live together, work together, laugh together.

We're a bunch of really cool friends who are stuck together!

p.s. It's past 12 but I still can't access GOOD's website, so I came here to leave a message.

Source: November21
Chi trans: 韩小国 @ BESTSHINHWA
Eng trans: midnightgirl13@shinhwabiz
Exactly. There are no big secrets to their loyalty, friendship and brotherhood. Their tolerance for each other over the past decade hasn't been fake or manipulative.

It's strengthened by Love. Doesn't take much to understand that now, do we? *flamethrows those pesky lil' reporters*

Sorry about the double post, guys. I just find my previous entry to be inadequate considering it was my 200th post. So yeah.

p/s: I've officially un-friended myself from the L'Arc~en~Ciel and Super Junior comms because I can no longer stand the sight of them. (The bands, I mean) And it helps to make my Friends' Updates page shorter.

Shriek!

Ho. My. Gawd. How come I didn't know that Acid Black Cherry just released a new album?! Bad fan I am >_<!! Anyway, it's in my download window and by the rate of tonight's download speed (wtf Streamyx?), looks like I'll only be able to listen to it tomorrow.

My cousin's wedding at Restoran Nelayan yesterday went well. Thanks to my newly bought Crocodile sandals my feet survived the night. But oh no~~~~ I'm supposed to go Johor this weekend for my uncle's wedding. La pulak... Urgh. So much for my hopes of slowing down and having time off by myself.

So I can't go for the Goong Jung lunch next Sunday T_T

Slowing down

Sorry I haven't been updating much in here or FB. I seriously don't know how I lived my life lately until I felt too tired after work to even open my PC. Gosh, not even the idea of downloading Dongwannie's performances could rouse me to escape from the bout of laziness that hits me in the evenings.

Right after the trip to Kedah for my cousin's wedding last weekend, I've been so so malas to go online. Stress combined with an urge to finish the book I've been procrastinating (and i'm in the final few chapters now *whew*) would probably extend until a few weeks more. Mian.

Of course, I can still make time for eat outs with my loved ones ^^

Wifely Duties: Unveiling The Secret

Hellish long post. Approach with caution.

I arrived late at Berjaya Times Square yesterday, braving the journey alone since Aish and Jerry would only leave much later. By the time I reached Starbucks it was 3.30pm and I was the last person to retrieve my album.

The MY-Shinhwa representative, Sally, told me not everyone managed to come for the short meet up and was highly annoyed that she has to lug all the unclaimed items back with her. I almost remarked that I went through all that shite during the Kingdom era but stopped before she'd think I was a smartass and because I didn't exactly want to reveal my past.

So I started small talk with her while she was passing over my poster and album (I was trying hard not to squeal) and then we continued on talking when she began handing a few smaller items into my hands. 'Eh?', I thought, 'What the heck is she putting in my hands lar?'

Then I looked down and holy schmolly... They were tiny gifts from Yeonin (they're like the most infamous official fanclub for Dongwan). All the strength in my body at that time was focused on restraining my fangirl alter ego from bursting out and making an ultimate fool of hermyself by dancing around in circles. Pffffft. =_= Ok, so I was exaggerating.

But damn me for being a good actress as I completely plastered on an utterly calm look on my face when all I could think of in my head was: OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! STICKERS! OMG! OMG! HANDPHONE SCREEN WIPER! OMG! OMG! OMeffingG!!

Yeah funny how I almost lost my composure over these silly things (as compared to the poster and album wor). It's just that I didn't expect them at all, you know? Hihihi. I'm definitely pitting to preorder the repackaged version with Yeonin. Thank you, Yeonin!

Anyway, this second album of his contains 1 photo and lyrics book with the CD inserted at the back and 1 super cool notebook. Oh but I doubt I'll be using the notebook. It's just going to sit right next to my unblemished KDW Diary. ^_^

I will most probably listen to it after I put up the poster. SQUEEEEEE! *sighs contentedly and stares at the delicious pictures*

PS, I so need to go on a spazzing session with my gals. ;D

Memoirs of a male geisha II

The WOWOW released vids of both summit days were harshly cut up. At least the ones I got off torrent. But so far:
  1. Luna Sea; whom besides X managed to own Ajinomoto Stadium on Day 2. Damn, they were really in their game. Watching "In Silence" (my most favouritest song) live made me want to cry since they rarely play it during concerts.

  2. X Japan and Muteki Band; I skipped all the Drama King sessions, but performance-wise.. I think they (pft, Yoshiki) ought to seriously end the reunion before their hearts legacy burns out. It was awesome when nearing the end, where all the bands except Diru came on stage for a raucous show of "X".

  3. D'espairs Ray; Only "Brilliant" was uploaded?! Mind you, they were brilliant so I hope someone will put up their whole session (if any).

  4. MUCC; Again, only ONE song. But I looooooved "Fuzz" live cos Tatsurou is just so infectious.

  5. Dir en grey; Still downloading. Not looking too forward to them (you know how I feel about the 'new' Diru) since they went absent during Muteki Band performance. Hmm.

  6. Spread Beaver; Yes, now I'm looking forward to something good. Bring on the best of hide's music, baby.

A couple more bands available to download are Versailles, heidi and the Underneath. Dare I ask if
T.M.Revolution,
Phantasmagoria and
OBLIVION DUST gets uploaded? I wanna see Takenori-san!

On a more general issue, Hyung's now back from Tokyo (Okaeri!). And guess which ultra famous blonde Jrocker she saw jaywalking at Shibuya wearing-shades-at-night, talking-oh-so-loud and ignoring-all-the-pointings-and-mutterings-and-fan-worshippings?

Holy pffffft. Yep. Yoshiki-sama. *cries* How come I only realise she was there during the festival weekend?!

No secrets between us, please?

Who's that woman who dared to flaunt her tightly-pinched plastic face and act so blisteringly skanky infront of you?

And how dare you fall for someone so cheap like that. Shame on you!

Nuh uh. Couldn't wait. I watched the MV.

So thank goodness I already pre-ordered his album with poster, mind you (haven't I mentioned this before? :x). Don't think I can stop from downloading it before I get my copy.

Memoirs of a male geisha

I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH! xDD Thanks to twinnie for letting me know vids are already up. And thank God I just bought an external HDD Luna Sea @ hide Memorial Summit *rolls over and dies*

The X torrent will be next. Dunno why each group performances are being split apart. My guess would be the easier for fandoms?

X and LS and MUCC (Tats + Miya) and TMR all on one stage, together, will totally pwn my life right now. And then there are all the rest of the summit days with DesRay , Spread Beaver and Diru.. *throws work-stress out the window*

신화 때문에

Me, twinnie and Mishiewashie met at KL Sentral McD for our much-needed Shinhwa obsession session (haven't done this for a long time, ne?). We unwrapped our newly arrived Shinhwa normal edition parcel with unsuppressed glee.

K800i_080503shinhwa_spazzing1

I really didn't care if anyone stared at us doing the fangirling thing xD

Hey! The mini photobook is from the same photoshoot for the limited special edition one... The novelty (almost) wore us off since we'd already ogled the bigger and extensive photobook to death.

Well, at least the normal edition poster is comparably yummier. And I don't mind ogling at more pictures of my yuhbo. Big nor small. Eheh ;P

K800i_080503shinhwa_spazzing2

K800i_080503shinhwa_spazzing3

I also received my Limited International Special Edition today! Thanks for taking good care of it, girls ^_^

As Mish had to return to Geek Mode, Farah and I then further continued our spazzing at S&M where I bought KimuTaku's "Hero" and MatsuKen's "Sexy Voice and Robo" (Lin's recommendation). *sigh* I really missed our theory exchanges and intense discussions, twinnie! Sankiu <3

Malaysianised VK?

Note: VK = Visual Kei. A branch in Japanese Rock (abb: JRock) that deals in heavily-adorned makeup and costumes. A most often than not misunderstood genre of music.
---------
"JRock Kingdom"? (http://www.jrock-kingdom.com/) Volume 4..?

Pardon the exaggerated eye-roll for the ridiculously 'original' titling. Eh, but no offense to them lah, since their events were already underway about 4 years ago. Ouu and it's sheer coincidence that a certain club was using the same ingenious branding name style.

Anywaaaay, there'll be lots of local VK bands schmucking performing at Ruums. I may be too old for this sort of thing. Me, in a room full of wannabes dressed up to the hilt and acting way too superior?

I'll think about it, Karat.

SStruck down

*thunder cracks down from the sky and zaps me on my buttocks*

Sso. Looks like I'm about to be warped into the fandom yet again. After almost a year (or longer?) of not paying any attention to these poor kidss, I really sshould be a loyal nuna. Haha =_=. I think I said the ssame thing back when they jusst released their album. After all, who can hate them?

This all thankss to my friendss who are surprisingly currently obssessed with them.

Ehhh?? You don't know who I'm talking about?

I'm not going to ssay it. Nope. I've been a VERY bad nuna (who requires a good sspanking, keke) that it would be a slur to call them by name. And I can't claim them as how I used to. Suffice to say, they will alwayss be my true dongsaengies.

Oh. If anyone found an LQ or MQ link for the latest Manwon Haengbok featuring twinnie's dongsaeng, I would be so grateful to you cos all the CBs I know only offer HD versions. :D

[On impulsive buyer mode]

Owh. I've been so tired these past few days that I hadn't had time to update or even surf the Net much -_-. Each time I plop down on my bed, I'll drift into a dreamless sleep and wake up still feeling tired. My stomach ache has abated so I don't know what's causing my exhaustion.

Yesterday was an exception because we had a surprise birthday party for Moon (Otanjyoubi omedetou!). Which then turned into a triple celebration for belated birthday girls Farah and Aunty Yong... Which then turned into a can't-run-anywhere-anymore discussion on work. As usual, we hogged Secret Recipe with our, um, rambunctious and slightly-hamsap group :P

K800i_080419moons_bday

Moonie got the new L photobook! And the rest of use were content by just meeting up with each other after such a long and strenuous month. ;D

Apparently Kak Bailah has also taken a fancy towards MatsuKen as L. She bought her own copy today. Now, while we were spazzing over the ridiculously expensive DoubleS jap photobook I saw something that made the DoubleS book literally fall from my hands... *points to below pic on farmost right*

K800i_080420kino_lunacy

Yep! *beams with pride* And so I bought the super duper gorgeous Luna Sea photobook since it was friggin 20% off. That's roughly 30 ringgit cheaper than getting it from YesAsia la wei. The thing was sitting there so prettily in plain sight that I just couldn't not have it, now could I? Besides, there didn't seem to be any other copies apart from this one. Heheh.

H-h-h-h-heh. *wipes grin off face* I keep reminding myself I haven't even paid for the Shinhwa albums.

A whiff of...

Uh oh. I think I'm starting to like that smell of his. His perfume is quite distinctive, and I gotta say that I seldom find a guy who emits this kind of sweet smelling perfume or cologne.

Most guys would have that typical pungent fog of perfume (apart from B.O.) around them that it chokes up my trachea.

My own bottle of Neroli Jasmine is three quarters-full. Still a long way until I can buy the delicious smelling Cherry from L'Occitane *grumbles*

A (Very) brief shot to fame

My shameless fangirl antics on Sunday will forever be recorded into my mind until I die. I'm planning to kill myself next month cos we're slated to be broadcast on MBC. Yes, MBC Korea.

This was another one of those interviews about international Kpop fans. Unlike the Song Seung Heon interview last time, yesterday was more of a mockumentary as they followed our 'fanclub' on a fanclub-esque day out. We were forewarned that we'd only be inserted into a 5 minutes slot of their program... However, the whole ordeal took almost 6 hours so I guess my face is gonna be edited out a lot! xD

It's a royal shame that Farah wasn't able to join us. But twinnie, you should count your blessings for not having to endure any future embarrassments.
Guh. I'll make sure to post the video up when it's ready.

The first part was a meeting/gathering which consisted of some 13 people (that's 8 of us plus 5 of Mr.
Seo's former students) and it was obvious we outshone those poor
people. We next moved to Tower Records for them to capture us
fangirling over the 'latest' Kpop albums there like we always go there to buy our stuff. Puahah. Oh, the irony!

K800i_080413mbc_shooting01K800i_080413mbc_shooting02

Above is Moonie and me capturing each other on our K800i(s). Our last scene is at a noraebang (Korean karaoke), so on the right there is Tasha and N'war when we just arrived.

K800i_080413mbc_shooting03

Here's Kak Bailah and those four on the right (Lyndy, Moon, Jess and Fel) who kept randomly picking songs they liked but couldn't sing. K800i_080413mbc_shooting04K800i_080413mbc_shooting05

Then there's teh Lyndy in Wondergirls action. It being my first time in a noraebang, I was quite surprised at the number of Jrock songs listed although they're pretty old. Whoohoo! I'm gonna have to look for lyrics so I can go there again.

Anyhoo, it was fun! Somehow, Mr. Seo conveniently forgot to mention that the cameraman is in reality a renowned director for MBC >_

Helplessly Poor

Whenever my friends ask me how I am, I'd automatically answer "I'm not OK. Actually, I'm feeling very poor."

My bank account will be nearing zilch due to the burgeoning amount of Shinhwa CDs I've ordered this month. Hopefully there's enough balance for Dongwan's second album. =_=

And I've finally figured out how pathetic it is to plan a Seoul trip for the upcoming three years since Shinhwa is soon-to-be absent from the entertainment scene. So this month's income will be streamlined to paying debts while maintaining my trip savings. Mwahah.

But. BUT. BUT!! May is going to be another month in torture when the Hide Memorial concert goes on... without me. Yet again. ARGH! Another concert where I'll be staying at home crying my eyes out. I mean, c'mon: X JAPAN, LUNA SEA, Dir en grey, MUCC, D'espairsRay, Phantasmagoria and so many moooaarr bands performing??!!

Gimme some more o' them Daim

Went on quite an 'adventure' with the DongBang Clan (ekekeke) from Setapak to Hartamas and back for a belated birthday lunch/celebration for Farah. I didn't know where they were leading me to because honestly I couldn't hear what Twinnie told me. Mian ^^;;

My mouth agape and eyes wide apart, I stepped into a chic Korean-export
restaurant called BBQ Chicken. So without looking too jakun I pretended not to look around. Lol. I had a BBQ set of 2 Korean Charbroiled chicken pieces with salad (it was coleslaw, btw) and mashed potatoes.

Blog080405_01

Sorry, I was too hungry. I had already annihilated the chikin with gusto when I realised I forgot to take piccy. Look ma~ licin habis!

After lunch, we sped off to Ikea for dessert! I was still recovering from the yummylicious chikin *pats tummy* yet I had to make space for bottomless coffee and Hyung's current obsession: Daim Cake. ROAR.

Blog080405_02

*succumbs to toothache with sheer joy* Why have I never tried this before in my whole life?! All the trips there wouldBlog080405_03 always be dominated with my hunger for their signature meatballs. What a shame!

[Much to Farah's horror, we were adamant in singing her a Happy Birthday. Hey girl, you're only 25 once, ya know? And it was fun watching the Clan's DongBang-ified version...]

Two coffees after and then dropping Meli off at her apartment and finally parting ways at the Melati LRT station around 5pm, me and Farah rushed over to KLCC. We managed to beat the time even after a really long queue to watch "L Change the WorLd."

But the movie only succeeded in making me crave for more food! Argh!!

I solemnly swear...

... That I am up to no good. Er, sorry. Wrong pledge. *shoos Fred and George away*

I solemnly swear that Shinhwa will forever go on in my heart.

Those ShinhwaChangjo-ers really made me, made us all Shinhwa fans, very proud. The Oath was drowned out by all those girls' (and boys') tears. I'm sure I would've choked up too.

Action speaks louder than words, no? Ehh, or tears work better than.. than.. whatever :S

*blows nose* That was the first time I cried while listening to a heavy metal song on fullblast.

Combo cravings

Dsc00106

This was what I had for yesterday's breakfast, lunch and dinner. Woah.

An empty stomach does things to your mental perception of an 'adequate'-sized meal. In Javanese I would be called batak or as Malays put it, tamak.

My sister scoffed at the burning-a-hole-through-your-purse-type of price. So I glared at her back and reminded that the first place she suggested to eat at was Chillis. Hah!

Band-sy weekend

Tomorrow's the FT concert day. Will be meeting Liza (gave her a mighty shocker when I mentioned this! - I forgot to tell her I already bought us tickets) at LRT KJ where Noviar&Ayu are gonna pick us up.

*sends milk, cookies and much-needed-hugs for the concert organiser. FIGHTING!!* Hope I'll be able to see the girls tomorrow. ;_;

Am currently listening to MUCC's "Shion" and I dare say that I'm pretty pleased with the outcome of their latest album. It took several repeats to really warm up to but the overall feel is still fundamentally post-"6" MUCC with more experimental flavours thrown in. The arrangements are much better this time, as Miya gets a lot more limelight than usual eventhough he sounded meek on most guitar solos. A little less grunge, still as angsty and a lot more poppish. Yeah, "Shion" is still in need of more of 'a little of this and that' but this album is not bad. Not bad at all.

I'm a bit disconcerted over why I keep listening to Tourbillon's "Break the Chain" (It's the opening song for Kamen Rider Kiva after all D:). I guess I still am in awe with Ryuichi's Luna Sea-esque voice. The little Monkichi. *pats Ryu's head*

Oh, after my daily rations over at jrockynyc I just realised that X Japan's concert was friggin yesterday! Oops.. my week was a little hectic that I hadn't the patience to read Jrock news of late. Anyway, can't wait to watch Sugizo! hihihihihihihihi xDD I love Hikkichan.

Apart from the concert, I'm also downing Juno Reactor's newest goa trance album "Gods & Monsters". Good stuff, this. Good stuff. MOAR Sugizo goodness, yum ♥

Orange Attack

Tadaima! My PC is finally back, alive and definitely kicking after I succeeded to godek it up over the last weekend. Alhamdulillah... Just in time to spazz some more for Shinhwa's 10th Anniversary.

I'm sure a lot of people did the same as me yesterday. The orange fever really hit me bad last night. Look what a sappy fan can do with a whole lot of spare time (under the circumstance of a broken down computer) and a spanking new camera phone:

Orangeday_1

Crazy woman gone overboard? I doubt I'm even close to owning orange as a true fan would have amounted.

Go ahead and post/talk about all the random orange coloured stuff you can find in your house :D

*Kicks CPU*

My PC went bust last Friday! I'm stealing some time on my brother's since he's not home yet. I've long suspected my power supply was faulty because there was trouble booting. Usually it'd be okay after several reboots. But looks like this time it won't even juice up. Grrr. Need to go Low Yatt/ Digital Mall for new one. Grrr. There goes my plans to watch H&C anime over the weekend

Doramanganime

Dora-what??

Dorama + Manga + Anime = Doramanganime.

Yeah, I'm lame like that. Anyhoo, I've unofficially joined the fandom for Honey and Clover. As mentioned in my previous post, I really might buy the manga since scanlations are so hard to find. Well, not unless someone owns up to any good scangroup sites. No?

Here's a useless advice for anyone (like me) who love to nitpick on details: One way to enjoy a manga/anime-adapted Jdrama is by watching it first. Please avoid the anime or manga before you watch the dorama. No good comes out of complaining about how the storyline differ between each universe. Plus, you will be happier if and when you deepen you knowledge (through manga/anime) after the dorama ends.
At least, that's how I do it. Nyeh.

However, regardless of any advice I will always looove to nitpick on Taiwan-ised dramas. Heard there'll be a Mandarin version of H&C. Hah! *nitpicks*

News Flash

Coalition? Opposition?

Whichever way you see it, whichever righteous prig's shoulder the responsibility is burdened upon, the most important mission for us all should be to continue upholding our harmony amongst co-inhabitants. Regardless of beliefs, colour or principles.

The fate of Selangor lies in your hands. I'll admit I was shocked by the results. But the people have given you a choice.

Prove it to us.

While other Malaysians are voting...

Here I am lazing about at home:

Reading the latest Bleach chapter. The subplots are dwindling away and Aizen's returned to the foray! And hopefully, Gin.

Downloading Jrock albums. I really need to listen to something other than Acid Black Cherry before I get annoyed with myself xP I can't exactly hum anything other than his songs right now.

Watching Honey & Clover's latest subbed episode. Over and over again. Thank God  SARS uploads pretty fast recently. Kassy is so darned irressistible in this dorama I'm even contemplating on buying the manga (For the sake of the character he plays: Nomiya).

Watching movies online. Failing to find "The Detective" (Aaron Kwok's horror thriller) on the Net, I decide I should sit down for "The Boleyn Girl". Oh, perhaps eventually I'll finish watching the second and third "Pirates of the Carribean".

Ah~ Maybe I'll peek my head outside my room later. To show I'm still alive. Honestly, I feel I'm not a good enough Malaysian to take part in the elections. Hah.

System (almost) shutting down

Futsal @ Sports Barn, PJ : Legs aching. Toes paining. But had lotsa fun! Got swanky GSC umbrella from lucky draw. Marcel even belanja us at Restoran Kayu after the game ;D

@ Home: Effing sleepy. Trying to stay awake and wait til Aish comes home to go for drink at Old Town White Coffee.

Tomorrow @ Ampang : Can't wait to meet Jessjess (Luna Sea CD-Data!), Farah, Mish and whoever decides to join us for Korean lunch.

Pop quiz, hotshot

O-kay. In today's meeting, WebOps (our Web Operations team) was the first department to be subjected to the torture of a nail-biting, nerve-wrecking and juice-squeezing quiz.

Part 1 of a total of three pop quizzes spanning over the coming weeks, this afternoon's  theme was: "Know Your Malaysian Cinemas."

Next week's is "Know Your Cinema Online Magazine and Website."

The final topic will be "2007 and 2008 Blockbuster Movies in Malaysia."

So what does motivate us over-aged kids to (actually) study and strive to score?

TWO tickets to any GOLD CLASS movie in GSC.

Pwned!

Escapism

Empty tirade

I had no idea I've become so jaded with life this early on in my years.

All I'd love to do is hide in my shell then ignore my phone calls, ignore my smses, ignore my work, ignore all the annoying strangers I meet everyday and ignore the world.

And then some might think I was born this aloof (hah!) and refuses to accept how other human beings are different from my own ego-bloated self.

Venus in Virgo. I strive for perfection. It's no wonder that I can't handle hanky-panky issues with much grace. Oh please enlighten me on how to handle persistent callers. Some people just don't take the hint however blatantly obvious I've shunned them.

I think I'll just go wallow myself in Jrock. Nothing else can make me feel better anyway.

Onegai! (Please!)

Cover_l
CD-Data! March issue! I WANT!

*pffft* As in I seriously, seriously, seriously, MUST have it. I'd die (or bawl my eyes out) if I don't own this particular issue. Luna Sea concert pics omgomgomg.

Don't know when I'm able to pop into Kinokuniya to find it. Would anyone be a darling and see if it's already there, please? Would be located at the Japanese magazines side.

I might decide to go to KLCC tomorrow. But on the account that I do not manage to find it on the shelf yet...

Please please help be on the lookout for it if you swing by KLCC anyday, eh? I'll so worship you (and owe you) if you could purchase it too. Should be around RM25 liddat. Oh thank you thank you thank you.

This issue is pretty easy enough to recognise. It has Luna Sea as cover omgomgomg. If you don't know how they look like.... keywords on the cover are "Luna Sea + March + Acid Black Cherry".

ftw

  • Couldn't find the left pair of my work sandals cos someone bloody meshed all the shoes in the cabinet

  • Feet melecet again

  • Only had maggi kari for lunch

  • Steeewpid Celcom decides to play games by not letting me send out messages

  • Embarrassed that I was on the train going home ALONE late at night when everybody else is with their respective partners

  • Realised how pathetic I was trying not to look like I didn't have a date (or ain't going home to a husband)

  • Nobody at home replied to my text(s) about picking me up at the station

  • Waited an hour for someone to notice my goddamn smses

  • Shitty phone gave up on my screwed up life and died when I felt like smashing it on the ground

  • Chocolate bar is an effing puddle of goo

  • Had to hail a cab ride home!

  • My CPU and keyboard got to feel the release of my wrath when it didn't wanna startup

  • And finally, after exactly 30 minutes at home.. the assholes from Celcom figured they should actually PROCESS the godforsaken smses I sent earlier!

Happy fucking Singles Awareness Day to you!!!!
