questioning who?

the cool breeze today... it doesn't seem like just 2 days ago, Kuala Selangor and Port Klang (both marking API of >500) were declared in a state of Emergency. the terrible haze that enveloped Klang Valley over the past week was like a dream.. a horrible nightmare that's faded into oblivion when the sun came up this morning. today, like any other usual day with the visible clouds and strong wind, feels so normal. the burning smell in the air still lingers yet very faint, my eyes are no longer watering, and i can finally open the windows.

the question is: will it persist this way? or will tomorrow bring a new blanket of smoke into our air supply? can my lungs rest assure now, breathing in this once again fresh air? or will it still need to withstand the sting of dust & carbon being inhaled with every intake of oxygen?

what we experienced yesterday and the days before... was it the end? will our lives continue as if nothing happened, but a bad dream? is Malaysia finally free of hazard? should i expect the days to come to become worse?

i don't know what to expect. i can only be thankful to Him for this wonderful day, no matter how long it's going to last. this dry spell will last until October, which means infrequent downpours. so please do not underestimate if there are worse things to come.
