if books (and money) grew on trees

It's painful to know that eventhough I have the money to spend on literary endeavours, I feel reluctant to pay such a ridiculous sum for a paperback romance novel. Bring back the good old days when I could easily afford a new-released novel for less than RM30! *blames the 60% of Malaysia's population who don't buy (nor read) books*

However, I do confess that my guilty new hobby of album collecting is the major reason for my reluctance. Apart from this, I can no longer find time to lie down (my favourite position) to finish a book in ONE day without falling asleep - I'd be too bloody tired to even pick my hands up.

So what do I do to assuage my deprivation? Illegal download, of course! Mwahaha! Hooray to bittorrent! All the.. erm, 'romance' e-books I've been wanting to read (like Jet Mykles' Dark Elves series) are just a click away. I've already started with 40 titles :D

But slouching infront of the monitor while tapping away at the Page Down key won't ever feel the same as having my nose burrowed into a book. Never! siiigh.

Won't it be superb to have trees growing books according to authors? Or maybe, customized titles would be better. Hmm.
