New X song?!

You know that I'd never pass out on a chance to bash Hollywood-esque X Japan, right? Fufufu.

Numerous cancellations of globalwide concerts - Check.
Endless slew of PV retakes (with Sugizo, of course) singing old songs - Check.
Horrible decision to enlist for Lolla-for-losers - Check.
Continued disgrace of their legendary name - Check.

Now here's the music video recording from yesterday for their 2nd new song after what... 2 years since the 'comeback'.

Idk. Doesn't "Born To Be Free" sound extremely cliche to you? Good grief.

The SUGI is ALIVE!

Well hello there, SUGIZO-sama. I spot you at last week's Yoshiki's Popularity Fanfare hide Memorial Service. Love your hair length despite your skeletony frame. *whispers* Has your captor been feeding you lately?

Does Yoshiki also let you out to roam free on important days such as these, hmm? I'm sure those long sleeves are covering shackle marks or somewhat. And for goodness sake, update your website and blog. Pretty please? Thanks..

In the meantime, I still can't find links for your 4th digital single. Sorry, I'm only gonna rip it off Youtube later because me have no VISA, yo. High time for you to work on this month's single! (Oops, I'm being pushy ain't I?)

[Photo credit: Mainichi JP but sad how J's name wasn't featured]

note: Yes, I still think Evil!Yoshiki man-napped Sugi. He's just temporarily unleashing the poor guy to keep up his public image.

double note: Is it not blatantly obvious that I have lost all respect for X Japan's leader? *snorts*

VK, oh VK

The lull is killing me. Have they hit a slump? How booooring can they be??

Has SUGIZO hit a slump? His last blog update was from late last month. I worry he was maybe secretly hospitalised after his body was found nearly drained empty of blood in his studio after a month of poring through notes and notes to make a new song and trying to piece something together on his guitar but the endless practice caused his fingers to bleed yet still he didn't relent because he'd promised everyone to release one single a month......... *breathesssss iiiin*

Maybe Sugi is being kept locked somewhere underground (why underground? beats me) in Florida by Yoshiki so that he won't escape before the dreaded 'concert' in LA where X Japan will be performing with a bunch of nameless-smallfry-loser US indie bands just when he'd felt enough is enough and he wanted to salvage his pride and dignity by rejoining with Luna Sea members and reviving his old band...... *gasp gasp*

=_= Sorry. Work has caused my brain to malfunction tonight.

But before I leave, Koichi's (top pic) sexy shoulders and back is making me think naughty thoughts. Siiiigh ♥

Forecastism

Reading up (some more) about KinKi Kids' zodiac took up my working hours today. Oops. There goes productivity, down the drain... Whooosh!

My OTP doesn't allow me to work seriously anymore. Not after our trip to Japan. I have a feeling I might get sacked sooner or later for becoming despondent and for other nefarious reasons.

What a tortorous week. Can't the weekend come sooner? Speaking of weekends, Farah and I will be visiting JLa because she got admitted due to her recurring asthma. I didn't realise sooner from the FB posts so I'm very sorry, my madu! Will make it up to you this Sat. =)

Oh! Someone has finally uploaded forbidden days rhapsody's Canticum! But Sendspace is a bitch. I hate my connection right now. I'm sleepy. I'm whining so I should get this post over with by lamenting about how Yoshiki is ruining his band's image as a legend.

X Japan's "Made in Hollywood" four music videos is not so good news. For me. I dunno. Yoshiki just really suck nowadays with his broken promises, his obsession in trying to commercialise VK into the US market and the cancelled concerts. And him pulling in SUGIZO again and again is making me ill. Sugi-chan jumps from one project (Juno Reactor) to another project (this) TOO fast that his body would surely combust the next time he steps close to a nuclear reactor. Sorry, that was a pun due to his activist role. I know you don't get it but whatthehey. Anyhoo~ If Sugizo complains about being so tired but still works his skinny ass off 24/7 then he should just stop and rest, yes?

Ah damn, I ended up lamenting about Sugi =__=

*lies down to sleep*

Visual Kei sleepovers

Since Fridays are 'Whee No Work!' days this month and Mish is on holiday, lets have Visual Kei concert screenings? I have Luna Sea and Luna Sea and SUGIZO and abingdon boys school and Rentrer en Soi (and X Japan if anyone is interested in old men).

I'm willing to share fandoms :)

Memoirs of a male geisha II

The WOWOW released vids of both summit days were harshly cut up. At least the ones I got off torrent. But so far:
  1. Luna Sea; whom besides X managed to own Ajinomoto Stadium on Day 2. Damn, they were really in their game. Watching "In Silence" (my most favouritest song) live made me want to cry since they rarely play it during concerts.

  2. X Japan and Muteki Band; I skipped all the Drama King sessions, but performance-wise.. I think they (pft, Yoshiki) ought to seriously end the reunion before their hearts legacy burns out. It was awesome when nearing the end, where all the bands except Diru came on stage for a raucous show of "X".

  3. D'espairs Ray; Only "Brilliant" was uploaded?! Mind you, they were brilliant so I hope someone will put up their whole session (if any).

  4. MUCC; Again, only ONE song. But I looooooved "Fuzz" live cos Tatsurou is just so infectious.

  5. Dir en grey; Still downloading. Not looking too forward to them (you know how I feel about the 'new' Diru) since they went absent during Muteki Band performance. Hmm.

  6. Spread Beaver; Yes, now I'm looking forward to something good. Bring on the best of hide's music, baby.

A couple more bands available to download are Versailles, heidi and the Underneath. Dare I ask if
T.M.Revolution,
Phantasmagoria and
OBLIVION DUST gets uploaded? I wanna see Takenori-san!

On a more general issue, Hyung's now back from Tokyo (Okaeri!). And guess which ultra famous blonde Jrocker she saw jaywalking at Shibuya wearing-shades-at-night, talking-oh-so-loud and ignoring-all-the-pointings-and-mutterings-and-fan-worshippings?

Holy pffffft. Yep. Yoshiki-sama. *cries* How come I only realise she was there during the festival weekend?!

Memoirs of a male geisha

I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH! xDD Thanks to twinnie for letting me know vids are already up. And thank God I just bought an external HDD Luna Sea @ hide Memorial Summit *rolls over and dies*

The X torrent will be next. Dunno why each group performances are being split apart. My guess would be the easier for fandoms?

X and LS and MUCC (Tats + Miya) and TMR all on one stage, together, will totally pwn my life right now. And then there are all the rest of the summit days with DesRay , Spread Beaver and Diru.. *throws work-stress out the window*

Band-sy weekend

Tomorrow's the FT concert day. Will be meeting Liza (gave her a mighty shocker when I mentioned this! - I forgot to tell her I already bought us tickets) at LRT KJ where Noviar&Ayu are gonna pick us up.

*sends milk, cookies and much-needed-hugs for the concert organiser. FIGHTING!!* Hope I'll be able to see the girls tomorrow. ;_;

Am currently listening to MUCC's "Shion" and I dare say that I'm pretty pleased with the outcome of their latest album. It took several repeats to really warm up to but the overall feel is still fundamentally post-"6" MUCC with more experimental flavours thrown in. The arrangements are much better this time, as Miya gets a lot more limelight than usual eventhough he sounded meek on most guitar solos. A little less grunge, still as angsty and a lot more poppish. Yeah, "Shion" is still in need of more of 'a little of this and that' but this album is not bad. Not bad at all.

I'm a bit disconcerted over why I keep listening to Tourbillon's "Break the Chain" (It's the opening song for Kamen Rider Kiva after all D:). I guess I still am in awe with Ryuichi's Luna Sea-esque voice. The little Monkichi. *pats Ryu's head*

Oh, after my daily rations over at jrockynyc I just realised that X Japan's concert was friggin yesterday! Oops.. my week was a little hectic that I hadn't the patience to read Jrock news of late. Anyway, can't wait to watch Sugizo! hihihihihihihihi xDD I love Hikkichan.

Apart from the concert, I'm also downing Juno Reactor's newest goa trance album "Gods & Monsters". Good stuff, this. Good stuff. MOAR Sugizo goodness, yum ♥

SUGIZO with X Japan?!

Hey, what's this I hear of my Sugi-chan taking up hide-sama's empty spot for X Japan's concert tour? TT_____TT
Pleeeease, please please please, come to South East Asia.

In the meantime, "I.V." sounds promising. But.. I dunno. I'm not really feeling it, although the lyrics are hot diggidy awesome (Yo-sama still writes the best) :

(In the rain) I'm calling you, dear
(Fight the pain) Can't you see me standing right here
(Feel my pain) Life is bleeding from fear
(Find its place) I will give it straight from my vein

I'm also unfeeling of the GazettE's new single, "Guren". I just watched the PV but it started to bore me even after 3 minutes into the song. It sounds like their other ballads. Nothing new here. Where's a.b.s when you need them, eh?

Alright, so I tend to be biased these days. I blame Sugi-chan for brainwashing me with his trance remix album. SPIRITUARISE is damn spanking, I tell ya. Go and listen at his MySpace.

Another recommended listen is "Fuyu no Maboroshi" by Acid Black Cherry. I've only experimented today and I must say, the single is really really unexpectedly nice. Yea well, I sorta dissed Yasu's voice when he was still singing for Janne Da Arc (tho their songs were not that bad).

Again, another Sugizo influence. <-- He helped out Yasu before.

Why did I ever divorce him? I'm so sorry, my love~~~

Ohhh and before I forget, Happy 39th Birthday Haido-san!

i'm on drip

just got back from Jitra and dead tired but;

X JAPAN + I.V. (the "Saw 4" ending theme) = legions of fans orgasming/dying

now they are what you call a Legendary Rock Band -- all in their prime *snicker snicker* but returning after 10 years, they're still rocking the shit out! ho yeah!

i wish Hide-sama was still here to see this........ TT___TT
omg i'm crying

as usual, yet another Saw movie not releasing in Malaysia. i'm gonna freaking buy the damn DVD just to listen to the song. <-- because this song won't be included in the OST.

and WTF?! A CONCERT NEXT YEAR?!!!! HELL!!!! should i go? -_-;; [Noviar, jom?]

shitload on a plate as huge as Europe

That's how I feel my workload is equivalent to these days. The phrase came about yesterday when Zee asked me "How much shit (aka work) I had on my plate." <_< HAH. Hasn't he realised that 3/4 of the shit comes from him and the writers?? Some more wanna ask.

All ranting about work thrown aside, it was quite a fun week:

  • I deepened my love for Gazette; thanks Moon! *sends Kai shaped kuih raya*

  • everyone came back to work on Wednesday --I'm not lonely anymore!

  • In is well and recuperating from her appendics-removal; and has returned to bully me.

  • finally met up with Mel during Thursday's family dinner --got to satisfy my craving for Chili's.

  • received my DW Diary and (cam)whored with it all through last night --teehee!

  • listened to X Japan's new song for "Saw IV" movie; I told you they'd comeback sooner or later! It sounds HOT, btw.

  • watched WanMinSyung's special stage --i hate that pabo asswipe's smugness.

  • aaaaand last but not least.... I jemput-ed my ex-husband Sugizo from the Customs Centre in Sepang; my C:LEAR album! THANK YOU!!

I feel so warm and fuzzy inside for those 2 valuable items that I bought with my own hard earned money. Aaah~ I can't stop grinning. xDD *hugs both my hubby and ex-second-husband*

My walk down the old path

a recent spew of new Jrock singles and albums (the GazettE, Kagrra, & Rentrer en Soi for instance), has revived a flame of passion in me which almost died in March/April last year. one downloaded album led to another and now i'm tracking down full discographies. that is if i can find working torrents who did i start listening to in the first place? well it's a looong story.. to cut the history lecture short i'll just shortlist my favorites:

[1998] L'Arc~en~Ciel; Rurouni Kenshin movie. Glay and Dir en grey; from Jrock Channel. Malice Mizer and Gackt, too. X Japan!

[1999] Luna Sea -Hyde (i want the old Hyde back!!). basically i just fell out because Kpop demanded so much from me.

suddenly, now that i'm older (and hopefully, maturer) i'm hopelessly lost amidst the whole download-every-show-follow-every-video mentality of Kpop fans. it's scary how the scale might tip at any time and unseat my Kpop-fan identity. i love Kpop, i really do. but i realise i don't like to collect every single thing (DVD, photobook schmuck) because i'm content just by listening to music. and break me or waive me, i am still a hardcore Jrock-fan at heart. before anyone counters and calls me an undignified fan, let me assure ya that i still keep Shinhwa and Hyoshin foremost in my heart. but anything/anyone other than them... i'd only manage to get bored with rather fast. ah, it's just me.. i fall in and out of love too easily.
